I like how your kids grow up being in a movie. You should do a super cut for each of them when they are old enough and start leaving the house. Just to remind them of the great childhood they had with all the family travels. That being said, your videos are a great guidance for people how are in the market for the FX30. Seeing it being used for different use cases helps a lot.

I’m sure I’m going to sound stupid but I was using my vintage contax 25 mm on my FX 30 and when I adjust the aperture on the manual lens it’s not communicating with the LCD screen on my camera and the image remains the same. How did you go around this?

Love your grading man. Most likely getting your LUT-23 as I use the FX30 as well. If you use a pp off mode, do you have any settings on those others (standard/neutral/etc) or do you leave them as is then change intensity of the LUT after applied?
Thank you! :) I only used PP OFF in the first tests. now I'm using PP11, it's a more flexible profile. with PP OFF it is more difficult to do color grading.

Great video Roman… seems to be close to the BM4k look, because you’re using a vintage lens (maybe). FX30 have overall sharpness image and great low light quality.
this is a great short film! love it! I got the FX30 but I only use it to shoot weddings...I will explore some simple narrative ideas...do vintage lenses give a unque look? did you color grade the shots a lot? How did you find a near empty aquarium?!!!!! LOL...thanks for this

thanks for the first comment! ;) for run and gun I think it's a great camera. stabilization, autofocus, quality at a good level. I especially like that with this camera you don't have to shoot the slog to get a cinematic image.
lowlight in sony fx30 is better than bmpcc 4k. I can stretch the exposure almost indefinitely. yes I get a lot of noise but it doesn't bother me and it's better than the red horizontal stripes that bmpcc4k has anyway.

due to ease of use and small file sizes, I prefer to shoot my family videos on the sony fx30.
