Jesse, you're great! Emmure was always a fascination for me, the guitars, vocals, effects, breakdowns...just everything. I'm glad that you show us your techniques. Thank you very much!
LOVE that Ibanez. The bend above the fretboard is something I've enjoyed abusing for years haha. My favorite E album that you were on is definitely slave to the game.
So fucking cool to hear insight from what I would say is one of the most influence metal guitar players of this era. Brought so much sonic diversity to the front of metal, ty
Thanks! The backward scrape I never knew of. I thought it was just the way guitar was mixed in post. Or I just wasn't eq'ing the right way or the right place. I don't have much. I don't even record bc it freaks me out, on top of, I don't have a good computer. All I have is a few guitars, 6, two 7s, an 8 and a 9 string. A precision drive, and a pod hd500x. The only other thing I would like you to show, is how to get that metallic clank on the chugs. I've youtubed and researched my ass off and no one really talks about it. The only thing that I've seen. But doesn't work for me, is moving your palm up more. I guess every guitar or pickup has a certain sweet spot. And on 5 guitars, all but one guitar having good pickups, I can't do it. I have a cheaper frfr to get as close to a recorded sound as possible. And nope. The other thing is, idk the actual term but, djent quack, i think some ppl get it in the open low strings, the riff i can think of that has it is, a gift a curse. I want that so bad. Unless that's the backwards scrape? I'll find out maybe tonight or this weekend at least. Wooaaahh. Sorry this was long. Just wanted to give as much of a detail as I could.
Amazing videos! Could you please share your AXE FX II presets? I'd gladly pay for them! 😊 I've been jamming old-school Emmure songs im my Ibanez RGD 2127Z
