one of the best SLS comps I've ever seen from the commentating to the skating and the amazing crowd energy, this was great to watch

This was the first one I can remember where I never got angry with the judges and the comments aren't full of people complaining about the judges.
I couldn’t agree more, literally everything about this SLS brought it up to another level of professional athleticism

Best SLS contest of all time in my book. Never seen so many good runs, so many good tricks, so much strong vibe at any other event. Gustavo earned that every step of the way, his skating has come so far and he's a force to be reckoned with now
I was thinking the same....and thats without Nyjah, and with a bad-day-Yuto...imagine them too, on a good day with this line-up.

Ribeiro reached a new level. That was insane.😱😱 Never thought I'd see the day where a 9.0 was almost a throwaway score
I hate to see Joslin get so close and miss yet again, but I'm glad that the most deserving skater won it.
Malto wasn't exaggerating when he said Ribeiro's first run was among the greatest of all time. Despite how gnarly Hoban's kickflip BS noseblunt was, I don't think anyone else should have ever touched the lead following Ribeiro's first run.

The camaraderie and support among the contestants towards each other is amazing! Joslin, Milou, Hoban and Ribeiro all leading by example - that it's great to show support and happiness if your friends land a trick, it's so great to see

Watching Gustavo Ribeiro's runs made me feel like watching Bob Burnquist's legendary run at X Games 2001. Maybe it's the vibe from Brazil, but it definitely felt ecstatic. Congrats to the champ! 🏆
I think Bob Burnquist’s run was the best ever hands down! Nobody has ever done anything like that and I don’t imagine anybody ever will but Gustavo’s runs are solid 2nd and 3rd best and I’m very happy that he won! 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹

Even Tony admitted he couldn't do a more perfect run, and Tony is probably the closest one who's capable.
In terms of SLS, Gustavo definitely outshines a lot of the guys for sure, but he's not doing anything a lot of skaters can do these days (not trying to take anything away from Gustavo)
But Bob did something only he can do.
Awesome final!!! Rooting for Gustavo Ribeiro and Braden Hoban out of all of the contestants - I am really glad these guys went all in and totally killed it. Gustavo definitely deserved the win - incredible bag of tricks and style. Hoban also showing very diverse and interesting bag of tricks with great style - he has to be in the top spots for sure.

Brilliant contest. Great scoring too. Different styles in the runs were equally rewarded and recognised and best trick pretty well judged too. Can't ask for a closer or fairer competition.

That was great! I'd love for Hoban to win, cause he brings something new to it (like grinding up, or gap-into) but Gustavo was just a beast in this one! Also shoutout to the security guard at 1:33:26 :D biggest plot twist by sls to not show the final winning trick :D

This contest was NUTS. These guys are throwing down multiple best trick caliber tricks in their lines like it's nothin. Absolutely blows my mind.

That comp was crazy... like mind blowing! Ribeiro but down 9s for every trick, Yuto had his worst SLS performance to date, Joslin nearly clutched it and Hoban was next level.

Amazing win for Gustavo. Maybe the most impressive athletic performance I have seen in any sport ever. I don't think I took a breath for that entire final lol. I was so glad to see that 9.3 for him at the end, especially because I feel like the bigger flip front board to fakie was a bit underscored. Huge congrats to Gustavo!!

Imagine stepping up on the last attempt needing to put down one of the most difficult tricks in your bag for the title. Absolutely insane performance from Gustavo. Great performance by all the skaters, tough for Jagger and Yuto though. Three quarters of the field had one or more nines. One of the best sls's ever.

Both of Gustavos runs let you know a 10 isnt possible in a line. If ever there was a 10 that was it. Also Hoban is one hell of a skater and he just opened the door for himself to the whole world of skateboarding. Well deserved
When I saw Ribeiro's first run, I knew they screwed up giving Hoban a 9.0. If Hoban was a 9, Ribeiro was at least 9.5++.
They jipped him by giving Hoban such a high score. Only 1.0 room of relative difference is out of touch
@@TheOriginalCameron I said the same thing about Hobans line being a 9. Its like they forget when they do that it is setting the bar for what you need to do to get a score like that and Gustavo blew that 9 out of the water by a long shot.

Completely agree. Not to take away from Hoban, but Gustavo was absolutely insane (at a completely different lvl) and was under scored imo.

This is what I was waiting to see for an SLS for a fuckin long time. I started watching sls in 2014 and the judging has always been off and the format changing all the time made it tough to be efficient. But this year and especially this content was perfect scoring, not biast, all the skaters in there had a genuine chance. The run score counting and the super final .This is prime sls

That was absolutely the best SLS I’ve ever seen. Completely nuts! And it was sooooo close! I was honestly hoping for Hoban to get it as a rookie but it was my 3 favorites on the podium so I can’t complain

Wow this was the best Super Final hands down, right to the wire.
Gustavo was so clutch at the end and incredible throughout.
Bradon killed it and is definitely a future winner.
However biggest props go to the vets Joslin and Decenzo they were phenomenal to step to those levels deserve mad respect both MVPs imo.
Relly enjoyed the "tiger cam" and the "visible replay" not to forget the "G-shock timcapsule"

One of the best SLS I've seen. True sportsmanship and amazing skating. The spirit of skating lives with these guys coz even though it's a big deal to be on TV, you're still just skating with the homies and their wins are your wins. Epic skating.

Gustavo’s skating was so much better than everyone else’s it’s hard to believe he barley edged this contest for the victory.
Such a beautiful, honorable way to take second place. Not to have lost because you didn't give it your all - but to be beaten by someone who powered through that last extra 2% and earned the win.
I'd always rather be beaten by somebody who out played me than to just lose because I didn't perform more best.

Absolutely amazing final! I've watched sls since 2010, this was one of the best finals in my humble opinion, so sick, and the ladies killed it as well, respect! It would be cool to see more of the other skaters reactions to those mind blowing runs and tricks, it makes it even more mind blowing and fun to witness :). Cya next year✌️

Gustavo Ribeiro providing more consistency and potential to improving his tricks to achieve the quality of a good rhythm to win the skateboarding contest!
He just threw in a number of his older "best tricks" into his line and repeated what got him the W earlier this year. Not so much improving his tricks overall, but he def has the consistency down.
