Thank you so much for watching! It's great to hear from you. I watched 'The Legend of Big Jack' a couple weeks ago and I absolutely loved it! Thanks again for the kind words and take care!
Thanks so much Jessie! That means a lot to me! I'm really happy you like this episode. Lots of work went into this one (both on the hunting and the editing side!). Take care and thanks again!
Big congrats Shane! I live in Drayton Valley. Not far from ya. Just starting out hunting myself. First year and next week im off. Cant wait. Awesome content!
Thanks so much Jim! That's awesome to hear! Wishing you the best of luck and really pumped you are getting after it for the first time! Thanks again for watching, shoot straight!
Congrats on your elk. I hope you never lose that passion and emotion that you showed in this video. Lots of people fake it on video but I don't think you could fake that kinda reaction lol Well done breaking the animal down and doing the solo packout, thats not easy work. You should be really proud of yourself.
Thank you so much for this really kind comment. I should have worn a heart rate monitor... An idea for next time 😂 I was definitely pretty pumped hahah thank you again for watching!
Thank you for watching Larry! I think 'red lining' is a very accurate description of how I felt in the moment 😂 BBD! Thank you again for watching all the way from the Kootenays!
Congrats Shane. You put the miles on the boots and it finally paid off when you needed it to. That was a tough pack but always worth it at the end. Nice bull👍
Thank you so much Wes! It all seems to come together when you least expect it or when you have almost given up! Thanks again for checking out our videos!
BIG congrats and well done Shane!!! A bit stressed when shooting it maybe? 😉😂 Once I packed out a bull moose all alone and had to carry every pound of meat plus the head more than 4 miles each way as the crow flies in very rough terrain. Good thing I was young, strong and stupid back then.
Thank you so much! I may have been a tiny bit stressed.. I'm sure that didn't present in the video at ALL. 😂 And that is super impressive, I bet you had a pretty great sleep that night! Thank you again for watching!! Hope to see you back soon
Thanks so much for watching Bassel and for coming back to check out this video! So short answer, in the Alberta Regulations (if you are hunting in Alberta), page 15 ('Terms and Definitions') speaks to legal firearms and 'what' a legal firearm is for hunting big-game. To add to that, there are some additional restrictions on page 28/29 which speak to the restrictions on semi-auto mag capacity (but not bolt-action rifles). I know there are different rules for shotguns, etc. In this video I am hunting with a bolt-action .308, so the 5 in magazine restriction does not apply to this firearm. There are also Federal laws on the RCMP site which fall into the scope as well which would be helpful to review (rcmp.ca/en/firearms/classes-firearms/maximum-permitted-magazine-capacity#s2). I hope that this is helpful, but would definitely recommend checking in with Fish and Wildlife to get an answer as it relates to your gun if you have questions! Thanks again for watching!
Great job! The ringing had me shaking my head lol.
Thank you for watching!! I hope you enjoyed that part 😂 that was pretty much what was happening in my head at that point
