it is kinda funny for me, seeing so many people say they hated her until what else can i do (and even after). i’m the eldest child in my family, so I empathised with her and immediately clocked the way she put on a mask to meet everyone’s expectations. The writers and directors did a really good job in subtly portraying that even before she revealed it. Honestly, both Luisa and Isabela were really relatable as older siblings, especially daughters.

I think the fact that when they hugged the candle grew stronger just showed the lack of relationship in their family was what was killing it, because when their house rebuilt they all had a stronger relationship, and Bruno was there considered a part of their family and their connection helped the candle to work. If this makes sense idk if It does lmao

Somehow, I went from hating her to her being my favourite character.
Mirabel and Isabela’s relationship wasn’t good because BOTH of them actually envied the other, believing that the other person had an easier life than their own. Isabela envied Mirabel’s “freedom” from crippling expectations while Mirabel envied that Isabela was Abuela’s favorite with the family’s high hopes placed on her. When they actually got to communicate properly with each other, they realized that neither had it easy. In the song, Mirabel encouraged Isabela to just do what makes her happy while Isabela showed Mirabel that she was thankful for that (giving her the acknowledgment that Mirabel had always sought after from the family).

Actually Mirabel didn't encourage Isabel. Like Isa said,she doesn't happy this whole time.. she marry Mariano because Abuela. She just want her family happy..so this whole time she makes anything just for Abuela happy. Not for herself. So Mirabel teach her to be herself and make herself happy

She not my favorite character, but I find that her character arch is the most heart warming. She didn’t know what she really wanted because of the expectations that were on her, yet through her breaking point she was able to find who she could be.

I hated her until it dawned on me *why* I hated her. Mirabel literally says it in the opening song- she's the perfect Golden Child. I missed that the first time I watched the movie. But I quickly caught it on the second time. My brother is the GC to our mother.
Isabella was never the problem. Alma is. She triangulated Isabella and Mirabel. Mirabel is the Scapegoat, especially because she also has no powers- just like Alma. And Alma only lets Isabella use her powers as Alma herself sees fit. Alma clearly burrowed into narcissistic behavior due to the loss of Pedro. And yes, Isabella is Alma's granddaughter. But it's obvious she picked a favorite and then pushed her vision onto that favorite...

Not me, before i watched encanto i thout she was the aunt, also the ending that the casita snapped i thought Isabella was the main character, then i watched encanto it kinda makes sense now tho.
Even at the start I adored her lmao. You can't resist such an amazing design I want to be her. But then when her song came on I was so shook because of how much I relate.

Honestly I really do agree with u Mirabel!
As someone who grew up expected to be the perfect gold children and had everyone’s wishes and dreams ridding on my back I liked her from the get-go but I very happy to see her get the chance to let go of all that pressure and fear of not being perfect.
I don’t blame others for feeling negative towards golden children but I think a lot of people need to know that they are under unfair levels of pressure and everyone’s expectations too the difference is that we have to torture ourselves over making sure that how we present never EVER gives a sign to our struggle and misery, breaking away and letting myself fail and be myself was the best decision of my life.
I think the reason Isabella was so aggravated in a lot of situations and rolled her eyes so much is because everybody expected her to be perfect and she expected herself to be perfect and she could not stop being the “perfect girl” she was known to be which is probably why the whole rest of the movie when she finally found how it was like to be messy she was happy the whole rest of the movie.

It's funny how I see people who didn't understand before the song,ya know. There were so many clues, first with her reaction to when abuela talked about her marriage for the first time, then the 5 baby's reaction, her last part on Bruno's song.
I don't know if it was cause I know what it's like doing something you don't want for the family's sake(being something you're not, keeping face for others people sake), even if I'm one of the youngest. I just saw through the mask, I don't know.
(And the fact the most she ever talked was with Mirabel, even if to be mean to her, she never ever talked back to no one else, I felt that)

Okay I haven’t seen this movie yet but I know a lot about it (thanks to watching one video of the movie, now my whole feed is about Encanto lol) and I just wanna say I love Isabela’s original design more than her design after she discovers herself and decides to be more wild and free with her power. I know the appearance was to emphasize the transformation and character development but still- The purple dress was so pretty and her long black hair was gorgeous

Вообще весь мультик учит что не нужно быть идеальными. Мир должен быть не идеальным а прекрасным. А к Исабела это особенно относится. Она думала что могла создовать только цветы. Именно мне это не нравилось. Потому что одни цветы это скучно. Она и к концу мультика всё ещё была красивой но теперь её ещё украшало раскрытие себя. Я её понимаю. Спасибо за видео автор. 😍😍😍
