Imperio, disillusionment, depulso, confringo. While I’m invisible, I use Imperio on one of the bad guys and then just watch them all fight to the dead until there’s just one guy left… 😅
I use a lot of ancient magic throw so having the transfiguration spell you can turn enemies into the exploding red barrell and throw it at someone, 2 for 1. Same goes for expeliarmus works great against goblins because once you disarm them you can throw their weapons back at them.
What I always have now is: Spellset 1: unforgivables and confringo 2: the utilities 3. Accio and depulso, then glacial and diffindo 4. This one changes a lot but the transfiguration one is typically there along with descendo then either arresto momentum levioso or flipendo and incendio My favorite thing to do is the imperio and petrificus totalus Especially when you have those traits that deal extra damage with petrificus totalus
Honestly after playing the game and I'm only a couple missions in you only need some of the normal spells the unforgivable spells they just make it quick
Meanwhile my spell set. Confringo, Crucio, Avada Kedavra and either a choice between accio or imperio (the curses break through any shield, pair with focus potions and viola!
I like to keep crucio as a quick switch spell in a second set bc it’s basically like aresto momentum(I say this bc enemies don’t move and can’t attack after being cursed I believe) except it does damage
These four, plus expelliarmus. Those are the ones I used the most. I always loved pairing Glacius and Diffindo, Accio and Incendio, and Expelliarmus and the object throwing.
I love the game! I'm newer to it...got a ps5 and hogwarts legacy in December 23'...my daughters (17 and 19) and my wife all love it as well. I just started gathering beasts to put in the vivarium, so cool.
I'm a bit of an aggressive player/spell caster so I prefer spells like Confringo, Bombarda, and Diffindo. I might throw the Disarming Spell into the loadout. I kinda dropped Incendio due to its short range, but the last time I used it was for Sebastian's final quest because dear god, fighting Inferi in small arenas is not fun. My load-outs usually end up being 3 red spells and an unforgivable curse (if my character chooses to learn it) or 2 red spells, a purple (usually Flippendo) and a yellow (Glacius of course).
So Glacio/Arresto Momentum buys you time. Expleliamus/Depulso are good defenses along with mastering Protego/Stupefy. Bombarda/Diffindo for targeting hostile groups. Confringo/Incendio depending on fire ranges. I found that IMPERIO is the most important unforgivable curse once you mastered it. Whomever is under that curse will finish the job for you. And please do pay attention and to L1. It’s crucial and informative in regards to potions, herbology, gears, inventory, defense against the Dark Arts and in one word: “ROOM OF REQUIREMENT!”
I used Leviosa and Accio over very high cliffs and I would make all my enemies especially high level Ashwinders and Poachers, levitate in the air and make them fell to their deaths.
Unforgivables and transfiguration upgraded. Watching them fight each other with imperio and killing the winner immediately is my new favorite past time
I always have Expelliarmus in the 4th spot instead of Diffendo cause I like the fact it disarms whom I hit, making the item pop up, and some items can be thrown with the Ancient power ability and if it's a dark wizard they have to run and track down their wand, giving cooldowns time to end. In my Slytherin playthrough I am 100% replacing Expelliarmus with Avada Kadavra though, lol But the other three, Accio, Glacius and Incendio ARE the other three best for me. It is a great combo, bring them in close, freeze them, burn them, done.
My main bar is as follows: Arresto Momentum, Flippendo, Expelliarmus, all perked to be curses, and Crucio with all perks. All gear has Unforgivable 3 on it, my damage is insane and I can always insta kill every enemy with the Avada Kadavra/cursed targets synergy
Accio and Diffindo, just for the sheer brutality of slicing through your enemies up close and personal.... I like to see the lights go out. Descendo and depulso is also quite satisfying.
I like to fully upgrade the disillusionment spell cause you basically have at least 1 guaranteed one hit, usually more than that if the targets are close together or facing different directions. Other than that, glacius + diffindo or accio (with the perk to grab multiple enemies) + incendio
I consider myself more of a long range duellist. In other words, I like to keep my distance. One combo I like is hitting Levioso, following up with Descendo. It's pretty much a "magical powerbomb". I follow that combo up Confringo and Diffindo.
Glacius followed by bombarda, diffindo, and expelliarmus. I use leviosa when fighting spiders because once they start digging and you hit em with the leviosa, BAM! Rips them in half!
I agree with Glacious. I feel Diffindo is better than incedio because it is ranged and still has second best damage output. I always try to have one of every colour, so for my purple I use flippendo. Here me out: it has a very short recharge and when upgraded can curse an enemy, it also works wonders against trolls and it can also juggle enemy’s just like acio. Many people choose bombarda as their final choice but I feel this spell is a bit uncontrollable and spread enemy’s out and makes the battle a lot trickier. So for my final slot I choose the transfiguration spell mainly for the insta kill😅. Therefore, my favourite loadout is: Glacious, diffindo, flippendo, transfiguration!!!!
My four spells that are an instant kill when combined are Levioso > Descendo > Glacius > Bombarda. Works on almost every regular sized enemy. I also have separate loadouts for trolls and Inferi.
I basically have all my slots filled for spells, but I tend to use Confringo and Bombarda over Incendio, since Confringo mastery allows you to spread the burning effect, and is more of a ranged spell. Plus, it's good to catch inferi on fire so you can use your other spells on them. Bombarda is just good damage. I also like to pair leviosa with descendo to lift enemies up and then slam them down. I always keep expelliarmus on me for those ashwinders that use the lightning spell, and I always have my utility spells on me. I also have another build that's purely a curse build with the Unforgiveables, working on getting AK and the Mastery for it to just instakill tons of enemies.
The main problem of accio and confringo is that all the enemies that you have not killed will attack you. So If you are using accio with confringo, I would algo suggest to use depulso. Depulso is quite strong If you are near a wall.
My current favorite set up is Accio, Incendio, Glacious, and Confringo. Accio, Glacious, and Incendio are great to take out a target immediately. There is also a short range advantage with just Accio and Incendio, as well as a long range advantage with Glacious and Confringo. I have a talent applied to all except Accio.
For me, I used Depulso, Transfig, Expelliarmus, and Bombarda. Obviously 16 spell slots can lead to some interesting loadouts, but for me I only used those spells in the second/third tier. Accio/incendio combo is crazy, and glac/diffindo is solid, but pushing enemies off hills and throwing explosive barrels is content 😂😂
That's about right. I had accio for a long time, but i swapped into Descendo because it damages with the juggle. I also left Incendio immediately when I got Confrigo to keep range since I dropped accio. Plus, it doubles as a tool for clearing enviro
I've been trying to use multiple skill sets and switching between them during combat. All attack spells in one set, all the force in one, control, ect. It's proving difficult but I think I'm getting the hang of it by switching during the cast animations.
Combining accio with incendio is wonderful - especially when you talent both of them and can grab more than one enemy in accio and hit them all with incendio.
Glacio and diffindo is the best combo in the whole game. I use depulso over accio and I usually use a levioso or a bombarda/expelliarmus because it can always come useful
I use accio, glacius, incindio, and decendo Use accio to pull the enemy immediately follow up with decendo and while they are stunned in the air use glacius amd incindio quickly. You're welcome. For enemies that cannot be pulled or dropped I switch sets and use arresto momentum, expeliarmus, imperio, and confringo
I’ve only been playing 16 hours so far but my current set is cricio cause it penetrates shields and also affects large opponents and if they have a shield it makes them drop it. Second I use confringo cause it knocks back and with a talent it hits multiple targets. Third diffindo it’s a single target attack but does a lot of damage to cursed and/or disrupted opponents. And last I switch between bombarda with talent to hit multiple opponents or depulso with talent to knock back multiple opponents depending on how many shielded or large opponents I’m up against.
I do Accio with the Talent that usually brings over three enemies closer then Incendio To roast em all together. Also got the Glacious with the Bombarodo or either Diffindo (talent combo)
I like to glacius > accio > basic cast and some fire spells + a curse (i like the hand with nails in it one) > depulso > expelliamus > r to finish them off (or if they died during the last part their weapon is a new object to throw at the next guy) and this has saved my ASS in some fights, especially with the shielded enemies
My main loadout the entire game was confringo, accio, diffindo, & aresto momentum. I prefer Confrongo for range & fire applications , accio to grab enemies & do quests, diffindo for damage & aresto momentum to curse enimies and stun then. I also at times used transfiguration instead of aresto when fullly leved to always have a exploding barrel on hand when doing combo or what not
So I have 4 sets that I always have: Utility (for exploring/spells I just use a ton): lumos, levioso, confingo, and accio. Combat: crucio, transfiguration, difindo, and decendo. Room of requirement: snacks, brush, conjuring, and whatever that other one is called lol. And then random (other spells I use frequently): nab sack, vanishing spell, expeliarmus, and depulso.
Mine in my first load out is definitely crucio, bombarda, glacius, and descendo. I have 3 load outs in which I put one unforgivable and three learnables. My second has the learnable spells Accio, Levioso, and confringo and the last slot is imperio. The last load out has avada kedavra, transformation, depulso, and exspelliarnus.
Yes I agree with some folks in the comments, Confringo is much better as it has the same effect and longer range (esp if you invest Talent point into it and make it fire projectiles as well)
I prefer accio, incendio, levioso, and confringo. Then i keep a 2nd combat set which is flippendo, crucio, glacius, expelliarmus. That 2nd one is obviously a curse set, all except glacius can apply a curse. Didnt use arresto momentum because i wanted one aoe ability. Glacius is that.
glacius followed by confringo is extremly poweemrful. if the target is still frozen when you hit it with confrigo its a one shot. even the big enemies.
I recomend this: avada kedabra and imperio, with the upgrade of killing everyone cursed of avada, its broken, next transformation upgraded with the explossive barril and last bombarda, because i like it and does a lot of damage
I use Confringo and Diffindo for damage and imperio to freeze enemies and crucio so enemies can take damage while I'm working on killing them and I use incendio on multiple enemies that are close together or perfect to use with accio I use glacuis to freeze obviously and I use the transformer spell
Sometimes I'm on a cliff or a tower or something, and see some enemy's, so I just use depulso, and they won't get an opportunity to fight, because they fall and die 😂
I normally use; Levioso, Accio, Glacius, Diffindo. I know Incendio is more powerful, but I just like that I can get opponents at any distance with these 4.
Everyone be gung-ho, meanwhile me using Petrificus Totalus and having confrontation as last resort or only if I had to directly face em (big enemies like trolls too). Also I really invested in Ancient Magic as well. Both the throw and the combination do absolute damage
In battles with multiple enemies use Imperio to have them fight against your other enemies. This is so much fun! 😂 Or else I love the thunder drink or what it is called to attack them harder. Imperio can actually be used for good, do you agree?
That spell seems like it’s more close to the movies because there are parts in the movies were certain bad guys are getting blasted and they’re totally helpless to do anything about it because they’re floating in the air
Avada, crucio, imperio, defendo on first load, confringo, accio, levioso, expelliarmus on second load is my undefeatable set up, towards the end I kinda got bored bcs I was op😂 gotta try it w different difficulty now
Acio , decendo, glacio, incendia, early then when you get some dark art talents flipindo, decendo, glacio, defeno as my main combo probably spelled wrong
I use unforgivables bc i used talent points to make it so basic casts shoot out curses and avada cadavra kills all cursed so i can kill 10 enemies in one shot after i do the combo
I prefer confringo over incendio (it has more range)
confringo is ten times weaker
dont care about damage, range still making confringo stronger, and you can upgrage your armor to lvl 2 damage for all spells, for me its not good come too close to enemy especially trolls or wardens from trials.

I recomend this: avada kedabra and imperio, with the upgrade of killing everyone cursed of avada, its broken, next transformation upgraded with the explossive barril and last bombarda, because i like it and does a lot of damage
Transfiguration with the upgrade to get exploding barrels. Then simply thrown the barrel at other opponents. Best combo
My favorite is Is most likely the killing curse Especially when it's upgraded , because then it kills everyone that is cursed😂
A cop and incindio may be the best combo whenever you have them skilled
Accio, Glacias, Diffindo, Descendo! My favorite.. that's not my rotation I usually pair them off Acc + Dsc Gla + Dif
i really like the accio + descendo + depulso combo
I use Confringo and Diffindo for damage
and imperio to freeze enemies and crucio so enemies can take damage while I'm working on killing them and I use incendio on multiple enemies that are close together or perfect to use with accio
I use glacuis to freeze obviously and I use the transformer spell
the floating thingy, and avada kedavra
My favorites: Protego, Stupify, Basic cast, and Avada Kedavra
I feel dirty after using it, but hitting an enemy with Crucio before unloading on them feels so good. I feel dirty afterwards though.
My top ones are Glacius with Diffindo or Confringo + Transfiguration with Bombarda or ancient magic throw 🤣
I use confringo, because far range fire: OP better than incendio. I use unforgivibles too
My favorites are confringo, gracious, according, and wingardium Levinson.
Bombarda is my go to. My main bar is accio bombarda crucio and the light one.
I love doing accio and then descendo, cause it does a lot of damage
Sometimes I'm on a cliff or a tower or something, and see some enemy's, so I just use depulso, and they won't get an opportunity to fight, because they fall and die 😂
Confringo, decendo, avada kadavra, arresto momentum. My 1st loadout
I normally use; Levioso, Accio, Glacius, Diffindo. I know Incendio is more powerful, but I just like that I can get opponents at any distance with these 4.
My favorite spells are 4th one is accio or incendio 3rd is imperius 2nd one is Avada Kedavara 1st in is crucio
Flipendo, arresto momentum , descendo, then depulso haha
Use glacius + confringo or bombarda.
Levioso + Depulso.
Levioso + Descendo.
Acio + Depulso.
Desillusionment + Incendio or Bombarda.
Curse targets and Avada Kedavra.
I usually pair acio with incendio folowed by depulso if they’re still living
BOMBARDA!!!!!! Is my favorite! Idk i just like how it sounds and how powerful the spell is 🥰
Avada, crucio, imperio, defendo on first load, confringo, accio, levioso, expelliarmus on second load is my undefeatable set up, towards the end I kinda got bored bcs I was op😂 gotta try it w different difficulty now
Diffindo and confringo are usually the main 2 i keep. When im by cliffs thab dupulso is fun. l
Accio + incendo was my go to I do like the glacius + defendo for range combat tho
Leviosa, accio, descendo, diffindo is an a real fun combo
Accio glacius and incendio has been basically the only combo I use
Acio , decendo, glacio, incendia, early then when you get some dark art talents flipindo, decendo, glacio, defeno as my main combo probably spelled wrong
Gracious and diffindo basically one hits enemies, freeze them and slice them with diffindo and they shatter to peace’s. Does amazing damage to trolls
My favourite close range combo is:
Accio + Glacius + Incendio
With all of them mastered is the definition of NUKE lol
I use unforgivables bc i used talent points to make it so basic casts shoot out curses and avada cadavra kills all cursed so i can kill 10 enemies in one shot after i do the combo
