The one thing I'll say is that GTA 5 did NOT have 3 cities. It had ONE city and two tiny little towns made up of 3 or 4 main roads. Paletto Bay is a joke compared to Los Santos. I don't expect 2 more cities the same size as Vice City, but if the map for GTA 6 is that much bigger but I only get one large city that would be pretty disappointing.
Agreed. The "2 other cities" in GTA V were nothing but glorified strip-malls. They weren't even towns, more like microscopic stopover outposts. @bigfatchubbybritboy9445 Yeah I know the technical demands for PS4 graphics and mechanics are exponentially greater than for PS2 but considering that GTA San Andreas had three immersive cities (and many more small Paleto Bay-type towns) crammed into its map it was kind of disappointing to not get at least a San Fierro type city on the other side of the state in GTA V. There isn't even any real geographic diversity besides the tops of the mountains like there is in RDR2.
True GTA 3, Vice, SA and GTA 4 felt like it actually had more cities even though they were smaller but that was mainly because you had to cross a bridge to get to them. If its like the SA map but well in GTA 6 scale and variety I think everyone would be satisfied.
With the crappy arcade driving GTA VI will most likely have...No thanks. Cruising around was not fun in GTA V because the driving physics was so bad, so unrealistic. I’m actually terrified by how accurate the gta 5 mapping project was, if gta 6’s mapping project is as accurate I’m gonna be extremely disappointed with the lack of more cities like how the other popular concept map has
Not if there's things to do in the city what would be the point of a new city if one city has everything already. Like yeah gta world sounds cool but not practical at all.
Yeah he literally put half the gta 5 map into water and acted like the gta 6 map is huge. Yes the gta 6 map is bigger than the gta 5 map but that’s even more wild life and lack of cities than gta 5. Gta 5 had the perfect balance between open space and cities both 50/50 pretty much overall. This seems to be 30% city and 70% open space basically the same size as gta 5 with just more open space that’s it. That would be extremely disappointing since I was also expecting for the map to be 2x bigger or even 3x like some said but this is barely 50% bigger just open space. That would suck extremely
@@GodfreyFirstEldenLord You people need to calm the fuck down. The current map is based on very limited information and trailer analysis. Why bother getting worked up when you have zero idea as to how they approach the map design for this game? It might as well be one big city surrounded by smaller communities; but you have no idea how that will flow gameplay-wise. I'm gonna tell you one thing right now: Don't expect 2 Vice City-sized cities. That is just not happening.
I hope that the cities are spread all over the map, so it is worth the drive from city to city. Personally I like the map of GTAV but there is nothing special to get in Paleto or Sandy, that you couldn’t get in Los Santos
The cool thing is that by knowing that the origin (0,0) is in VC (on the east coast) and knowing that Port Gellhorn is ~7,000 RAGE units west implies that the map must go at least 7,000 units East also. If it was all going to be ocean out eastwards, the map's origin point wouldn't be in VC and instead would be in the middle of Leonida. This implies to me that there may well be some significant islands out to the East based on the Bahamas or somesuch.
Yo man, I don’t comment much, this might even be my first RUclips comment. Just want to say how refreshing your content is. The way you structure it and base it in fact. Very different to how 99% of RUclipsrs / other social media creators do it and infinitely better. Keep up the great work!
Another thing to consider is i think the mapping community has evolved alot since gta 5 so they are doing way more insane math calculations now to map out every little but of footage we get so before the full game comes out i think we'll see an even more accurate map
I’m really looking forward to seeing the map, I’m sure rockstar is going to make it a selling point to show how much bigger and better the game is in the gameplay trailer compared to GTA5. We’ve all come so far, onward and upward to trailer 2 which I’m guessing is going to show off more of the nature side of things and Jason’s story. Since this trailer was more on Lucia. I’d say April will be the month for the trailer, just speculation, could be sooner, could most definitely be later, it all depends on how many trailers they have to put out. I’d say at least 3. One for Lucia, one for Jason, and one for world/gameplay. Possibly a story trailer too that kinda sets up the story but that seems like a stretch for me.
Interested to see the final product in terms of map size in game. When looking at the project map things seem quite distanced, if you look at the prison compared to vice city itself there seems to be a sizeable distance, but in the opening shot of the trailer you can see the VC skyline fairly close in the distance
I want to see a theme park like Bush gardens and universal and they do holiday events like irl. Would be great having the safari as an excuse to host event more exotic animals in the game and keep it Canon to irl.
Im really curious as to how they approach this map. Gta 5s map was underwhelming in a way thats hard to explain. It just felt synthetic. look at a game like fallout new vegas with a map thats basically entirely desolate wasteland, but yet its still so immersive. I hope they can make it immersive and organic feeling
The grudge I have for gta 5’s map is the fact that yeah it is large but most of it was just covered with moutains in order to claim that gimmick so I hope gta 6 will be different and nature areas won’t just be like that and the cities will actually be big enough like liberty city because gta 4 actually felt bigger than 5 ironically
Port Gellhorn Raceway seems to be GTA's version of the Sebring International Raceway in Florida judging from its layout. Somebody surely has pointed that out already somewhere but guess I'll put this out here. :)
@@NavidIsANoob well we don’t know when in 2025 they’re planning it. It could be towards the end of the year, meaning it does end up being 2 years. And actually I think it will be closer to 3 years because of delays
Thank you for bringing up how different the GTA V community mapping project result was from the final game. You can see the similarities to the final map, but it was ultimately a different map. Same thing here. On these speculation maps for GTA VI, we do see the similarities in shape to Florida and due to the coordinates, we have an idea on size. It is fun to theorize. We need to keep in mind: The final product will be different. 2025
Map size isn’t the problem. Its the lack of cities in these big ass maps. San Andreas never felt small to me cos you had san fiero and las venturas to explore. THEIR IS NOTHING IN PALETO BAY OR SANDY SHORES!!! 1 big city Los santos and a map with too many mountains. Its boring. I never got bored exploring in gta San Andreas.
TGG must be feeling so content, knowing that he has another decade at least of GTA coverage work ahead of him. He is also perfectly positioned and primed to be one of the top gaming journalists for GTA as it grows. Well done mate
The new game looks absolutely awesome and so much bigger than OG Vice City, which is still my second favorite GTA game. IF R* sticks to this map concept, Leonida will cover from just north of Orlando all the way down to the Cays. That is freaking HUGE and I hope they do. So excited!
One thing I don’t want is just another island map, I want it to feel like florida actually. Because it isn’t just cut off from the rest of the United States. I know it may not be plausible but I’d like to drive north to Georgia or Alabama
Hate to break it to you but every map in GTA is an island since we can fly in them. RDR can get away with impassible mountain barriers since we're on horses, but GTA has been island maps since the beginning
@@VegetaLF7No gta 3 was connected to mainland. Also it's not because we can fly they make it an island it's because it's just easier than adding endless forest or mountains in rdr2. Since they're only doing southern flordia it's most likely not going to be an island because than they would have to do something like San Andreas and including North Florida.
@ABirchwoodVampire it would've been nice if they included North Florida Perfect moment for DeSantis slander and making fun of swamp rednecks in Jacksonville and Ocala.
While it looks really cool and it'll hopefully be awesome to explore, like RDR2. The most important thing is that it is immersive, best example I can think of is Stilwater vs Steelport in SR, Stilwater, especially the SR2 version was incredible, it felt huge and the NPC's all felt distinct from one another, and all the areas had their own separate feel and look, it really added to the immersion plus hidden underground areas also added to it, whereas Steelport just felt so dead, I couldn't tell one part from another it just had no personality and the only difference being the size of the houses.
What’s interesting is that GTA VI’s map is probably going to be 2.5x larger than RDRII’s map, which itself is nearly 1.5x larger than GTA V’s map, so in other words GTA VI’s map is going to be roughly 3x larger than GTA V’s map if not more.
Given the sheer scale of the map, it really makes me wonder if there will be more than 2 playable characters - and I kind of hope there will be. Looking forward to seeing trailer 2!
I hope not tbh, Gta 5 story felt like it was rushed to fit three characters stories into the standard 69 mission campaigns that Rockstar makes. Every other Rockstar story felt much more slower paced and had more likeable characters because we had more missions with them. The way GTA4 handled multiple characters was amazing imo, the main game had 69 missions, then each dlc had 32ish missions.
@@johnsteves9158 - yeah, good points. I just felt it kept GTA5 feeling fresh being able to switch to 1 of 3 characters whenever you felt like it, and the fact that they were 3 complete different personalities gave the game a different edge each time. Am wondering if the main 2 protagonists will be the main faces in GTA6 and will have the majority of the missions, and possibly there will be 1 or even 2 more playable characters with a lesser role to play, just to give us a different dimension to the game. I'll be happy enough with 2 characters, but just feel it'll be a slight step-down to go from 3 to 2.
I wish gta 6 had a multiplayer mode. Either split screen campaign or online 2 player campaign. Rockstar made the warriors which is one the the best multiplayer games of all time so they can clearly make them.
just to point out, the Mambas Stadium is the game's version of LoanDepot Park, not the Kaseya Center like you said. The Mambas Stadium was seen in the 2022 leaks so thats how we know it's there. But that means there will be a baseball stadium as well as a basketball arena so thats cool
Based on the map development in rdr2. I will love to see if GTA 6 has a building that starts out like the Mile High Club, and actually get finished in the story. Also want to see a range of endings as a result of an honor system. Not just ABC of GTA 5.
Then you'll be waiting another 15-25 years for that, Take Two has window on when these games come out, be realistic here. You basically asking for the whole USA at that point with today's graphics and details and gameplay mechanics. That's asking for too much lol
MIami, Tampa, Orlando, with Lake Okeechobee in the middle. Pretty sure that is the inspiration for the map I lived in South Florida and still visit Florida regularly
I think Port Gellhorn is Fort Myers. Fort Myers is located in Lee County, I believe the reference to Kelly County in the trailer is based off of Lee County. Fort Myers also has a race track and there's a Port Gellhorn Raceway.
Yeah I had a feeling that the stadium we saw was based on where the Heat play (although I didn't know it had a new name until the NBA Finals, so I kept calling it the American Airlines Arena). Especially since it didn't look like a football (Hard Rock Stadium) or baseball stadium (Marlins Park). The only other possibility would've been the American Bank Arena in Sunrise where the Panthers (as in the NHL team, not the NFL team) play.
I think the success Rockstar had with the GTA5 Online is the main reason for increasing the size of the sandbox. A bigger and a more varied environment will hopefully mean even a greater variety of gameplay experiences than ever seen before.
Hahahah lol I'd love to say they will do different ideas for online but well let's be honest they will probably almost definitely recycle a ton from GTA5
I hope they add multiple cities. I dont want the map to consist mostly of desert, forest, and hill with nothing to do in it like GTA V. It feels like a waste of space
Can we all also just take a moment and acknowledge how awesome rockstar games are not just with their detailed maps but their programming of NPCs. In RDR2 every single NPC in that world has their day to day life. Going on chores, reacting to things, going home from their work, going to work in the morning from home, etc. there was one video where a player shot someone in town, ran away and snuck back and waited only to find that eventually the sheriff came, checked the body, took the body onto his horse and went off. That is hardcore love of a game and shows the level of professionalism rockstar has!
What will happen at the top of the map? Will we run into a wall? Very interested in how this will be done as I live around where the map appears to stop. …The alligator pool rescue clip looks almost exactly like my actual back yard here in north Orlando
Gta San andreas map even if smaller feels so big with 3 cities with completely different feel to each other and 3 distinct airport with option to buy air tickets
I am really excited for gta 6 but the main concern I got from this video is the blank space in the predicted map. Like how gta 5 half map was all blank etc and in gta 6, the black space is prominent too. Just the right side is filled. I hope they distribute it, like the left and middle area somehow or atleast add something in between those areas
The cars are most definitely going to be faster so it probably won't feel that much bigger. Similar to how rdr2 feels bigger because the horses are slower
As a Florida born and raised native, I hope this is the map because I already know the general area where my hometown is and I can go around there having fun
I really really hope that some day they can combine all the maps along with Red Dead maps and make a hybrid game. Maybe set in the 20's or so. Have motor cars in the developing cities but still have horses in the rural areas. Then they could even make a modern version of the same huge map.
Born and raised in Miami, as someone that has been around the entirety of south Florida (from Orlando and down) including the southern most point in the keys, I’m stupendously excited to play GTA6
I don’t really mind how big the map is. I just want to be able to use the whole thing over time on online. In gta5, we literally mostly use the city that is it. I hope to use as much as possible
I hope basketball is one of the minigames as well. Would be a waste to not be able to play basketball given that they took the time to port in the Miami Heat's stadium.
sometimes a bigger map can also be a problem , I am glad that gta 6 map will not have really big multiple cities because really big maps can sometimes be boring to explore . Games should have more details and interactive stuff rather than buildings that can not be explored and empty wastelands.
I wish the map at 2:00 was real, would be nice to have some distant islands, in this case The Bahamas, to fly to, that are not hostile terretory. I hope the Keys are bigger than what the prediction of the actual map is as there is a good size city down/out there, also the 3 airports/bases.
@@goodxd701yeah but I think he's kind of milking it a little bit like he made a lot of content from just one trailer I know there's a lot of details but I feel like we're overdoing it now we need to throw a couple of GTA v videos in the mix or something there is only so much content you can make out of a trailer in little news and stuff especially since in reality we still don't even know that much but you are right I still love the videos and I'm glad he doesn't clickbait
Bigger map is not necessarily better, I already hate having to drive up to Paleto Bay, I don't really fancy having to drive double the distance just to deliver a car or something, and if the traffic tries to kill you as much as it does now in gta5 it's going to be so much worse with more cars on the roads

I can't wait to cruise around the map and just enjoy the sights.
I already can imagine myself turning off the hud, taking a muscle car from my garage and just cruising around at night
With the crappy arcade driving GTA VI will most likely have...No thanks. Cruising around was not fun in GTA V because the driving physics was so bad, so unrealistic. Felt like you were driving on rails all the time, every car feeling like a race car. I hope GTA 6 goes back to GTA IV's realistic, weighty driving model/physics
@bigfatchubbybritboy9445 yeah, hopefully the driving physics aren't as arcady. Also, the engine sounds need improvement. I'd like to drive a muscle car that sounds as powerful as a real one.

Interesting how you mention not dying before the release of GTAVI. I was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2022. I was 13 when GTAV released. It's going to be extremely difficult for me to be around when GTAVI drops. It's such a shame, but also really stupid that I even care about this. But maybe looking forward to the game gives me extra strenght in fighting the cancer. Love your content, hopefully I'll be around for your GTAVI content in the future.
Oh man.
Use GTA VI as a motivator to continue fighting. Might seem silly, but its not at all if its something you are passionate about and care about. You got this! I hope you beat cancer, many people have, depending. Hoping the best for you!

I’m actually terrified by how accurate the gta 5 mapping project was, if gta 6’s mapping project is as accurate I’m gonna be extremely disappointed with the lack of more cities like how the other popular concept map has
gotta wait until trailer 2 or the gameplay trailer to drop to see what the rest of the world looks like
Not if there's things to do in the city what would be the point of a new city if one city has everything already.
@@NavidIsANoobYeah people expecting they will include the whole Florida in or some shit 😂
Anytime I see a TGG upload I get hyped all over again
Love it how you are keeping the news real and not just telling lies for views. Good on you I will be subscribing. ✌️
I agree!
TGG always keeps it real and is a reliable source!
This is going to be so fun seeing the map get more and more detailed and accurate the more trailers come out. I love this
Yo man, I don’t comment much, this might even be my first RUclips comment. Just want to say how refreshing your content is. The way you structure it and base it in fact. Very different to how 99% of RUclipsrs / other social media creators do it and infinitely better. Keep up the great work!
It sends a tear to my eye every time I watch RUclipsrs find more info on the gta 6 game. Makes me more excited for what’s coming
Dramatic 😂
Appreciate the clarity my man
Especially amongst all the dribble. Cheers!
Facts
Interested to see the final product in terms of map size in game. When looking at the project map things seem quite distanced, if you look at the prison compared to vice city itself there seems to be a sizeable distance, but in the opening shot of the trailer you can see the VC skyline fairly close in the distance
Wow. Didn't even plug anything in the description of the vid. Youre a real one TGG!
It’s going to be so fun exploring the map. I can’t wait for Alligator pop up scares 🤣
I want to see a theme park like Bush gardens and universal and they do holiday events like irl. Would be great having the safari as an excuse to host event more exotic animals in the game and keep it Canon to irl.
Haven’t been on gta in years but this is getting me excited
Im really curious as to how they approach this map. Gta 5s map was underwhelming in a way thats hard to explain. It just felt synthetic. look at a game like fallout new vegas with a map thats basically entirely desolate wasteland, but yet its still so immersive. I hope they can make it immersive and organic feeling
Gta 4s map felt super organic and real
you think too much are you an AI?
The grudge I have for gta 5’s map is the fact that yeah it is large but most of it was just covered with moutains in order to claim that gimmick so I hope gta 6 will be different and nature areas won’t just be like that and the cities will actually be big enough like liberty city because gta 4 actually felt bigger than 5 ironically
Well its set in Florida so it will have very few mountains obviously!
@@alexy8520 a lot of swamps though
Yeah let's cover 70% of the map in water instead.
Now that is what I call a life size map
Port Gellhorn Raceway seems to be GTA's version of the Sebring International Raceway in Florida judging from its layout. Somebody surely has pointed that out already somewhere but guess I'll put this out here. :)
I’m so ready to see what the map looks like!
Only 2 years to go 😭 assuming no delays

That stadium is the baseball stadium. The basketball arena is right on the water.
Its boring. I never got bored exploring in gta San Andreas.
just when i was needing something to watch, TGG came in for the rescue
For 12+ years wait, i should expect double or more in map size…
@UnitTraceyeah saint Denis is tiny, but jam packed with detail and character
TGG must be feeling so content, knowing that he has another decade at least of GTA coverage work ahead of him. He is also perfectly positioned and primed to be one of the top gaming journalists for GTA as it grows.
Well done mate
The new game looks absolutely awesome and so much bigger than OG Vice City, which is still my second favorite GTA game. IF R* sticks to this map concept, Leonida will cover from just north of Orlando all the way down to the Cays. That is freaking HUGE and I hope they do. So excited!
I hope they add the Bermuda Triangle and have a mechanic where vehicles take more damage there or something.
@ABirchwoodVampire it would've been nice if they included North Florida
Perfect moment for DeSantis slander and making fun of swamp rednecks in Jacksonville and Ocala.
I cant wait for the hour long delivery for a business 🔥🔥🔥
While it looks really cool and it'll hopefully be awesome to explore, like RDR2. The most important thing is that it is immersive, best example I can think of is Stilwater vs Steelport in SR, Stilwater, especially the SR2 version was incredible, it felt huge and the NPC's all felt distinct from one another, and all the areas had their own separate feel and look, it really added to the immersion plus hidden underground areas also added to it, whereas Steelport just felt so dead, I couldn't tell one part from another it just had no personality and the only difference being the size of the houses.
Awesome content as always. Great effort by the community as well. Can’t wait for 2025.
YEAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THESE MAP ANALYSIS VIDEOS!
3:18 bottom left corner how did Rockstar know about the white jeep. Wilddd!😮
What’s interesting is that GTA VI’s map is probably going to be 2.5x larger than RDRII’s map, which itself is nearly 1.5x larger than GTA V’s map, so in other words GTA VI’s map is going to be roughly 3x larger than GTA V’s map if not more.
It's funny that now in real life Ocean Drive is only one way.
I really hope the Tampa/St. Petersburg region is a sizable city. Not a small town, but like a 1/3rd of the size it Vice City. Hope Orlando is big too!
GTA community is so strong it’s actually impressive
Should put Will Smith and Martin Lawrence in the game 😂
I haven’t seen this man in so long and now he has a beard😭
What?
Awesome to all people who did this, great job. Sure it's not real, but who knows it might be quite close. Can't wait to explore in the new GTA!
Owning property in Miami is probably a good investment right now - imagine your IRL house is in GTA6...
Too much crime.
Good video!
Really looking forward to see the official GTA VI map!
just to point out, the Mambas Stadium is the game's version of LoanDepot Park, not the Kaseya Center like you said. The Mambas Stadium was seen in the 2022 leaks so thats how we know it's there. But that means there will be a baseball stadium as well as a basketball arena so thats cool
Heat stadium in the trailer
@@BrazyFam223 thats what the Kaseya Center is
I was gonna comment this xd
Based on the map development in rdr2. I will love to see if GTA 6 has a building that starts out like the Mile High Club, and actually get finished in the story. Also want to see a range of endings as a result of an honor system. Not just ABC of GTA 5.
The map is twice as big, but not big enough for me. I wish the GTA 6 map was 10 times bigger.
Then you'll be waiting another 15-25 years for that, Take Two has window on when these games come out, be realistic here. You basically asking for the whole USA at that point with today's graphics and details and gameplay mechanics. That's asking for too much lol
TGG winks when he said ‘speculation’ lol what do you know Mr TGG 😂😂
it would be absolute fun driving around the map with those Graphics And New mechanisms Also The updated vehicle PHYSICS.
MIami, Tampa, Orlando, with Lake Okeechobee in the middle.

This is awesome let’s hope they also bothered to address griefer issues if there’s online version coming
Being real and showing us what we wanted at the beginning, I will stay for the whole video and like.
those deliveries for bunkers and different things from across the map are gonna suck
Hahahah lol I'd love to say they will do different ideas for online but well let's be honest they will probably almost definitely recycle a ton from GTA5
@TGG you are the OG of GTA content 👍👍

Probably going to be something like rdr2
Thank you for this video!
6:56 not true, the leaker specifically said 3 BIG cities and then an additional 4 small ones/towns
It's blank cause it's not known what's there. I think rockstar are smart enough to know that fans want more density in the map
my great grandfather helped build that bridge to the keys. i’m so mf hype for this game it’s gonna be so sick i’m so glad they’re adding the keys
Low key the game looks better than irl
GTA V is actually quite small. With realistic car speed mod, it takes only minutes from the southest point to northest point.
Anything beyond 20-25 minutes driving is already considered a big map and from the look of it, GTA 6 map look THAT huge lol
I mean that's fine with me a nice cruise through Vice City
The cars are most definitely going to be faster so it probably won't feel that much bigger. Similar to how rdr2 feels bigger because the horses are slower
yeah they lowered car and plane speed way down in gta 5 so we didn't reach the end of the map in like 1 minute@@killernazrat
Yeah, coming out 2069 😂😂
I'd love to see a prohibition era mob style game from Rockstar
Born and raised in Miami, as someone that has been around the entirety of south Florida (from Orlando and down) including the southern most point in the keys, I’m stupendously excited to play GTA6
I don’t really mind how big the map is. I just want to be able to use the whole thing over time on online. In gta5, we literally mostly use the city that is it. I hope to use as much as possible
imagine going on 2 of the really tall sky scrapers that are across the city from eachother and having a sniper battle
The map is gonna be big. I just hope it aint too big. I still want lots of events. Wildland. Hunting. All that stuff. Its gonna be good.
My concept of too big would be like too much wilderness or the cities are too hard to navigate
