The fact that they are being denied their mail could be illegal. Quick fix- call the post office, put your mail on a vacation hold - 7 to 30 days and go directly to the USPS to pick it up. Seems their management likes to play games.
Denying them keys is technically withholding their mail, which is against the law. Why are these people not getting charges pressed on them? I’ve had issues in the past with places that would not give me my mail, and that is one of the hardest things to deal with macaws. Sometimes you need your literal billing address to be able to get certain things like taxes and government ID.
Forest of Columbia did my daughter the same way she paid for a key it took them a year to give her mailbox key plus one of her stimulus checks was stolen plus we went threw hell from the Wesley Chapel post office and the mailman they even sent the u.s.postal police to our door after the mailman was nasty and cruel to us. Even laughed at us has he was in with the office. It was really bad. I pray y'all get y'all mail.
I live in Village at the Lakes in Clarkston GA and we are having the same issue. They decided to replace our mailboxes and now they are taking their sweet time issuing our keys. They blame the post office and the post office blames the Apartment office.
Who uses mailboxes anymore? I can't remember the last time I got a letter. I send my packages to my workplace to stop theft. There's really no need for a mailbox really
Companies I worked for established a policy prohibiting employees from receiving personal packages or mail to my employer. I am not sure if some residents have the same problem but wanted to give some insight on what some companies are doing.
@Peggy Sue Ross That's actually quite sad and shows how much your employer respects you. Also, you don't have to pay Residential rates on shipping if you send packages to your work so it works out cheaper.
