It’s so interesting how I was just watching Ballet Reign’s video about the different ballet methods and now you’ve made this one. This has really helped me understand how different and nuanced ballet is so different on everyone’s body. At first I didn’t understand why the Vagonova Academy would have such strict physical tests for potential students (not sure if they do that) but it’s honestly for the best out of an abundance of caution and safety for the dancers’ body. It is still making sure that dancers who get in have bodies that can safely learn and execute the technique and I love that, and there are methods that are just as prolific that are safe for dancers who’s anatomy will not allow them to do Vagonova technique and I love that, too! 😂 I just wish that in light of all these things that people would stop making a hierarchy out of the different methods and stigmatizing others and trying to make them feel wrong for doing what is best for their body just because it doesn’t align with their preferred method, because it seems like regardless of how they approach it, safety is of the utmost importance in each method. There’s no sense in trying to force your hips to perform 180 degree turn out or anything else like that if your anatomy doesn’t work like that. It’s not work risking the injury. Anywho, I know I will likely never be a professional ballerina but seeing all of this in proper perspective helps me feel better about how ballet looks on MY body and doing what’s best for me so that I can learn, grow and train safely and learning what movement/technique style (or parts for different ones) is best suited for my body. Everything is not as cookie cutter as I thought and it’s helping me feel better and more free about my dancing ♥️
I've watched you instructing . I think you have a natural gift for explaining this art. I'm astonished at the level of skill and fitness required to perfect this art. I am a clod when it comes to dance. Much love from Sydney. 😊
I just wanted to stop by to say thank you. I was in pain because my turnout was so stiff and I couldnt do grand battement with no pain. Specially in the back. Plus it was hard to put my leg in the bar without looking like a sac of potatoes thrown at the bar. All of that has been solved. Also developpe a la seconde. Its so much better and I am jumping like a feather now. Also adding to what you have taught me I do yin yoga, sometimes I just need a good long walk, I do calistenics, online ballet classes and other exercises. Listen, I am old now, but today in class with my 15 year old mates, who didnt do anything in the last 2 week break we had, I was one of the few who jumped like a feather, who was stable in developpes, who was able to do most of the exercises with stability.I love them. They are all great people and dancers. But your point was made. You need to work everyday. And you will see results. I am more than thankfull. One day I hope to see you in personone day and give you a great bunch of flowers. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I ❤ hearing about how you became such a good ballerina - I find every great ballerina's journey to success is similar, but never the same. Each story is unique to that individual and their talent / abilities, but all serve hopefully to encourage the next generation as well. ❤
Isabella - just curious - how many pointe slippers would you wear in a year... Are there any dvd's with your performances? Never had a Ballet lesson - but am looking for exercises to keep these old muscles limber! LOL Suggestions, PLEASE! LOVE LOVE LOVE YOUR EXPERTISE, AS WELL AS YOUR GORGEOUS WARM ACCENT! WELL DONE, YOUNG LADY! LOVE YOU MORE! ❤😊❤
Ill never go to ballet school, i dont know why im watching this 😂

Lovely. Thank you…xxx.
Wonderful video, Isabella! I would love if you could do a similar video on ballet companies!
