The thing that gets me about Jesus’ crucifixion was not only the fact that He died on the cross; it was also everything that happened before then. He was betrayed, ridiculed, and even tortured before He died on that cross. And He suffered through all of that WILLINGLY. That is the definition of love. And we know what the Bible says about love: It never fails.
And he waited around to bring that last thief on the cross home. A part of me wonders if He could have left that suffering sooner? Did He stay to bring one more lost soul home? Love looks like that.
Though I may sin and walk willingly into darkness, God calls me to Him. He shall only stop calling for me when I am with Him. My soul weeps in these moments of clarity when I am not focused on temptation. I need strength to be free. I need Jesus.
Jesus would speak and tell these words to the thousands hopeless, beaten, defeated, in struggle, in shame... There is NO ONE and will be NO ONE like our Lord. This is the reason He came, to transform our lives, make us like Him and give us Eternel Life. Hold on to Him

I came from a Christian household, and it's as hard to be a Christian. But same, on my side, I accepted Christ during the deepest suffering in my life when my life was falling apart and I was ready to give up, I heard a song about Jesus. I was lukewarm, focusing on the things of this world. There was a time where I realize I didn't love God... YET, HE DIDN'T STOP LOVING ME, and never will. In our woundedness, we can see the humanity of all people. We all have been wounded and to see our brothers and sisters and to create a safe space to listen to each other's story is about opening each other to love. To be vulnerable is to tell story and listen to each other. When Thomas doubted and see the wound of Jesus is like an adult doubting someone and want to see the truth. To go into the wound and for Jesus to show his wound to Thomas is part of our reconciliation. There is a victim who has been hurt, there is a person who has hurt someone. To accept the truth is to recognize that we are part of that woundedness of another person. Prayers for all. May there be truth, mercy, justice and peace towards reconciliation.

I was just recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s isn’t that bad when it’s treated but at this point in time I don’t have any medicine because it’s still in the process of being prescribed. I’ve been dealing with chronic symptoms for the past month and a half and during this time I’ve truly questioned whether God really loves me, if he’s really watching over me and protecting me. For some reason this song popped in my head tonight because our church choir has sung it multiple times. God loves us as His children because we are made in His image. Though we are not perfect, should we accept God's salvation, His perfection resides within the very fiber of our being. If we reject God's love, we are saying Jesus was not good enough. What I mean is, it is not to do with our perfection or goodness, it is the light of God within us that stands as the justification for God's love for us. This grace was brought at a price, but all of God's children are chosen to receive this love.

Jesus said in Luke 19: 40 that "the stones themselves will cry out " if his apostles kept quiet! The stoned have indeed! shouted out.... and we must be part of that shout.
To change the thought a bit ; did you know that 93% of the greatest scientists in history were devout Christians? Albert Einstein of course was not Christian(though all the math for his theory of G. Relativity was from the truly devout Christian, Bernhard Riemann). Indeed Einstein said he stood on the shoulders of the devout Christian scientist James Clerk Maxwell. Maxwell was a Christian apologist! Maxwell was the founder of the modern era of physics(Einstein said this!) Maxwell is counted among the top 3 greatest scientists in history. Cell phones/mobile, computers, the internet, color photos, microwaves and other appliances and the electric grid, would not exist- and most of the modern world would not be the same, without the most important discoveries of Maxwell.
And also it is interesting that the Bible student and discoverer of gravity, Sir Isaac Newton, predicted Jesus will return to earth in our century. Michael Faraday and the Nobel prize laureate Werner Heisenberg(he won it for inventing Quantum physics!) were devout Christians also. Heisenberg told Einstein in his last letter to him, that only the Lord God can know the position of a subatomic particle.
The Wright brothers who invented the airplane, were also true Christians. ....I could go on and on. Devout Christians did the really brilliant and hard work of inventing and laying the foundations of the sciences; while today's scientists do the easier work of building on these devout Christians' discoveries.
NASA even took over 100 microform Bibles to the moon and the American astronaut Buzz Aldrin prayed the words of Jesus and took Communion on the moon in the Apollo 11 mission-which was the first manned landing on the moon. There remains on the moon a red paper Bible.

Actually, YOU LOVE HIM BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU. He loved us FIRST, even before we existed. I grew up in Church, but didn't understand this relationship. I was lukewarm, focusing on the things of this world. There was a time where I realize I didn't love God... YET, HE DIDN'T STOP LOVING ME, and never will. In our woundedness, we can see the humanity of all people. We all have been wounded and to see our brothers and sisters and to create a safe space to listen to each other's story is about opening each other to love. To be vulnerable is to tell story and listen to each other. When Thomas doubted and see the wound of Jesus is like an adult doubting someone and want to see the truth. To go into the wound and for Jesus to show his wound to Thomas is part of our reconciliation. There is a victim who has been hurt, there is a person who has hurt someone. To accept the truth is to recognize that we are part of that woundedness of another person. Prayers for all. May there be truth, mercy, justice and peace towards reconciliation.

I was just recently diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s isn’t that bad when it’s treated but at this point in time I don’t have any medicine because it’s still in the process of being prescribed. I’ve been dealing with chronic symptoms for the past month and a half and during this time I’ve truly questioned whether God really loves me, if he’s really watching over me and protecting me. For some reason this song popped in my head tonight because our church choir has sung it multiple times. Coming and fully listening to these lyrics just reminds me that no matter how hard my life gets and no matter how alone I seem, Jesus is always right there next to me, leading me through the storm. This song has just touched my heart so much and I’m so thankful for whoever wrote these beautiful lyrics😭🥰
