I can't drink, I was thinking once I'm sober from drugs I can allow my self a drink or two, i was wrong it let to getting high. And I was never a social drinker, I was in it for effect, I can not have a drink, my brain automaticly wants effect. So it led right to using.

Exactly why I stopped drinking all together. If I drink, I start thinking about and craving cocaine. I can’t just have a casual drink as well. I drink to feel the affects but once those affects hit, I want that white stuff. Never again. Life is beautiful sober and my mental health has improved exponentially. God is good.

Great video. I’ll say from my own experience. I drank, smoked weed weekly and did coke maybe a few times a year for years and I lived a totally normal life never had a problem. Once I tried opiates though in my late 20s it was over. And that’s all I did for a couple years after but I’d also drink some nights with it too intensify it. Opiates were the game changer for a guy like me. I don’t drink now and I don’t think if I did drink it would make me want opiates because it was never something I cared about. it was an after thought for me if it was around me. But I also don’t wana know either. Everyone’s different though. If I was drunk and was offered opiates tho it would be over I know that.

Dam,n Casey thats crazy that as soon as you tried opiates everything took off. That was def your doc hit your brain in a diff way.

@@Soberdogs yeah I always thought I didn’t have an addictive personality until I tried perc 30s and was like “holy shit” and then slowly fell into it daily and then for 2 years my life was a living hell. But goes to show it can happen to anyone. If you have that in your genes soon as you try that one substance it can consume you

I have to be very careful and not let myself start rationalizing taking the "next step" which would be drugs. BUT, sometimes, drinking makes me feel better. I'll make one drink and sip on it while I have my cigarette and I'll be satisfied. Before I got on heroin, I was a major alcoholic and drank myself into a coma every fuckin night cause I've suffered from severe insomnia my entire life.

Damn for sure you got to watch out So do you still drink? And if so not like you used to right? That’s can be incredibly dangerous drinking that much every night omg and the withdrawals

I shifted from painkillers to alcohol and became a world class alcoholic. Almost killed myself. I was never much of a drinker in the years before. I dont want one shot. I want the whole bottle. I drank to get drunk. I choose not to test myself with alcohol. Besides it gets me in a lot of trouble.

@@Soberdogs Exactly. I feel like I've been blessed with sobriety and left with the responsibility for maintaining it and protecting it at all costs. Spreading the word that it's possible for us to make it out and have a great life after the fact is one of my favorite things to do. I'm passionate about my recovery. My audience is one person at a time. I just plant the seed. If I only ever help one person I've done a lot. You're on a grander scale and you are an amazing person. You are reaching a lot of people and I love your style in how you convey your story and message. I'm so glad I found you brother.

I started watching your stuff recently, great content. I never got into whatever "drugs" because they are not taken for taste. I love beers and especially bourbon because they can be enjoyed on taste level and the kick is part of whole thing, and it's a drug like any other
