  • Technology-facilitated domestic abuse is a problem of increasing concern. Everyday devices are now being used as tools of coercive control. At the same time, our homes are slowly and silently becoming smarter. The smart home could enable us to know more about our home, our daily lives and how we use resources. However, smart devices could also be used as a home-made surveillance infrastructure to harass and facilitate technology-related domestic abuse. This video highlights experiences of technology-facilitated abuse and concerns about domestic and family violence in the smart home.
