    When I stay in Bangkok I use a hotel called Drop Inn, located in a small soi of soi 20 its a really good hotel, quiet at night and close enough to all that you want, the staff are great and the rooms are clean and bright

    You really need to test some of these budget accomadations for a few days before committing. A lot of older units have old plumbing and make toilets smell horrendous, not to mention insects like mosquitoes, ants and cockroaches. They can be covered up with air freshener for a day or 2, but it comes back with a vengeance after hot water or showers run.

  • @fattony9227
    @fattony9227 Год назад +7

    Make sure to check different travel sites and read hotel reviews BEFORE booking. Besides, what someone considers "budget" hotel may not be so for someone else. Novotel on soi 4, for example, at 85+ euros per night is not really a budget hotel.

    Really useful.
    Perhaps you could consider an episode on the cheaper serviced apartments (30 to 45 days stays).

    I always stay on soi 22 at the “admiral suites” it’s just over £30 a night but you actually get a superior suite! You get a proper kitchen area, an actual living room, separate bedroom, big bathroom, 2 balconies, a small pool on the roof and a small breakfast included…😅

    Times I’ve been in Bangkok I looked at ibis and it wasn’t cheap also looked at soi 11 not cheap. I don’t know if you are giving low season prices.

  • @elfy72
    @elfy72 Год назад +6

    The Ibis has small rooms and thin walls so getting disturbed by noisy guests is a possibility. Petals Inn & Orchard Inn are not the same places, I've stayed at Petals Inn before and it's a good cheap hotel if all you need is somewhere to stay while you explore the rest of Bangkok. I've walked past Orchard and never been tempted to give it a try, looks a bit old now.

    Hey Arsen, I love Soi 11, it's been a long time favorite. The Eleven Hotel Bangkok is my pick, and sits atop the German Beer House, an excellent restaurant for a great lunch or dinner. I highly recommend it to everyone for a good hotel, central location and access to transportation. I'm planning on returning in May, and I'm going to try the Manhattan Hotel, it's slightly less than The Eleven Hotel, and closer to things I want to visit. Go to hear your recommending it.

    I wouldn't agree that all of these are budget hotels in Bangkok. You suggest some international chain hotels which are more expensive than small local places. You can find much cheaper hotels in Bangkok. The one thing to be said in favor of these places is they will be of a higher standard westerners will appreciate - but you will pay for it. How about a video on hotels in bangkok under $20? That would be a better definition of budget in Thailand!

    Would be perfect if you stay and experience the hotel instead of pointing it, nonsense... a lot of cheap hotel in Thailand but not everything is beautiful once u stay .
    ( considering looks of toilet etc.)

    Dear Live Love Thailand, which budget hotel do you recommend with city view, rooftop pool and bar, and at least semi high rise? Budget up to 40 usd per night in March 2024 time frame. Agape! Sam CHAMP
