- Today I am doing a video edition of the show. Not all the episodes in the future will necessarily be in video but I am hoping to do this more often, especially as I iron out some of the kinks in the tech. I'd love to hear feedback and how I can make the video edition better.
Today I discuss American Hornbeam, IBAMA strikes, brittle wood, fast growing trees, and a new source possibly for urban wood.

Enjoyed the video format! I’m not always multitasking while listening to podcasts so having something to watch is nice
Really like the video format - podcasts are OK, but having the video updates show up in my RUclips "new" videos makes it so much easier. Thanks.
(And great job on your approach - solid information, based on your personal and industry experience is awesome)
I like this format, I always like to see the people talking to me. Your shows are always informative if a bit on the technical side.
technical is my love language
Shannon, love the technical information and content of this broadcast!!!
Lie-Nielsen no longer uses Hornbeam for their chisels. They now use Hard Maple.
I've heard that from a few people. What a shame. So I guess my chisels are even more valuable now! There is still hope if you make your own handles.
As I understand it, they can’t get quality hornbeam in the quantity they need at the moment.
video format is better, i like the visual aids. Do you think picture this is superior to Leaf Snap as an identification app?
Haven’t tried it but I’ll look it up
