When you are placing furniture in large rooms you need to bring it away from the edges. Then place console tables, lamp tables, bookcases behind them to Zone room. Mirrors and wall art will make the room more interesting. I think you might need some help from an interior designer to get the best from your beautiful house.
Oooh, I never knew this, but makes complete sense as this is what my friend does in her large house. Breaks the space up and makes the sitting area more cosier.
I was going to say yhe same thing about bring the furniture away from the walls and then place tables and book shelves.

Most living rooms have more than sofas in , nice long unit or something, book case etc with some height
An interior decorator would help make the rooms cosy. As it is the rooms look rather stark. The tree is definitely too small for that corner.

Get in touch with an interior designer and work with them on how you would like your house to look. Definitely more furniture is needed to fill those big rooms.

as an idea, section off the room by having two sofas either side of the log burner, then maybe put the tv above on the wall, then have the other side of the room with the corner sofa etc, if that makes sense? it does in my head! haha

Remember whatever Christmas stuff u hang..instead of putting up with tape or nails use those command hooks..they come off after using leaving no marks behind.
