I run in shorts with a phone pocket I usually chafe during long runs where my phone rubs on the side of the leg. You convinced me to give a shot to try a running belt. I just ordered one!

Was curious if anyone had the same experience as me. I did a review on this a while ago when I first got it. I've only had it a few months and had such a hard tome getting my phone in and out of the front pocket while wearing it. It finally ripped so now I have to be really careful. My phone is small so I can't imagine how annoying it would be for a bigger phone. I don't want to have to take it off to change my music. Maybe I got a bad one. I tried the next size up and it was too loose. The reflective lining folds under clothes or gets covered by them because it so thin so pretty much useless. I owned the Zipper version and do prefer the Elite even though the Zipper pocket ripped on the Elite.
Have you contacted Flipbelt? I bet they'd send you a replacement! It would be good to know if the zipper ripping was just a fluke or if it happens on your next one! Yes, my phone is also a bit of a struggle to get in and out of the pocket, however it wasn't so much trouble that it put me off. I guess I'd prefer a bit of a struggle getting it in and out than having it be loose, or move around when it's in the pocket. Def reach out to Flipbelt to see what they can do. LMK how it works out for you! 👊🏽

@@its_Matt_B_ maybe mine is an older version. I ran with it this weekend at the Brooklyn Half and everything inside was moist 🤣 In the past my cash would be wet after a run. I still love the belt and love the zipper! So much easier to put on and take off! 👍🏼👍🏼
@@its_Matt_B_ It was brutal! The humidIty was awful! Glad I finished before the sun came out. My wife was in wave 2 and she had the sun for last hour of her run. I wanted to beat my NY Half, 1:58:19, but I had to stopped for about 15 mins. A teammate had tripped and hit his head pretty bad on the ground around 10k. 3 of us stayed with him till the ambulance came. My finish time was 2:09:11. According to Garmin my run time was 1:55:28. Next year I’ll get it.
I have 3 FlipBelts, and one minor addition I wish they’d consider is to add a bit of mild structure/rigidity around the pocket slits. I fight like heck (🥴) to replace the water bottles into the slits when I’m running because the slits collapse and are so floppy, and having a bit of a firmer entrance to the pocket slits would be helpful lol. I do like the rubberized back on this elite version and the zipper. Nice touches! Cheers!
You’ve made a great suggestion with the addition of structure to the opening. I’m sure Flipbelt will read your comment, so let’s keep our 🤞for the next version. Although, compared with the older version, the Flipbelt Elite is already so much better! 👊🏽

One thing, it has a water resistant zipper but the pocket itself is not water resistant LOL Put your cash in a zip lock bag.

It’s a nice looking belt but I would say I’m disappointed there are no magnets anywhere. A magnet clip would add to it

If a zipper on a running belt is the big selling point then I'm not convinced.
For me the big selling point is the waterproof pocket. The zipper is just gravy! 🤣
