How long do those teeth last on average, Jeramy?

This set lasted about a year. But I have wore them out faster when digging really hard stuff.

I noticed you use the narrow pin spacing on the quick coupler. Mine is set that way. I’ve seen several using the wide spacing? What the pros and cons of each?

Wide gives more power narrow gives more range of motion. For me the Wide position doesn't let the teeth point out far enough for keeping a vertical edge on a hole and for sloping banks. It also doesn't close far enough that you spill loading trucks. Thanks for watching 😊

A weld bead might also work to add bulk to the pins. I saw on Gold Rush they added weld to extend the life of the teeth.

Yes, hard facing does extend the life of wear parts. It's a little time consuming though. I think if you put any kind of bead on the pins, they would then be too big to fit. Thank you for watching, and have a wonderful day 🙂

@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 “hard facing” is a new term for me. Thanks. I’m surprised an auto wire holds up tot the work you do.

I’ve been running these teeth after Jeramy recommended them. I can attest they are great for hard ground and roots. They do wear faster. I found if I order the XL roll pins they stay put better. Thanks for pointing out where to buy these as well👍👍

    Are those called tiger teeth?

I do not have an issue with hard ground in south MS, but if those teeth help destroy roots I will give them a try on my 12 inch bucket

  • @aldimore

I bought some of those for my 18" bucket. Probably should put them on as I'm about to dig a long trench through roots.
