      So I did a water separator screen and a fuel filter replacement on a kx-040-4 mini. After bleeding the air out of the fuel system. I turn the engine on noticed bubble and what looks like a stream turning on the top of the fuel separator. The mini run just fine I just didn't know if thats normal or there's air in the system. Again thank you.

      @John G if it is running fine you are good. It has to purge the last little bit of air out on its own. It's not leaking on the outside is it?

    Great informative video. About how many hours on the kx40 before you start thinking about getting a new one?

    • @jeramyreberpuredirt7873
      @jeramyreberpuredirt7873  Год назад +1

      I usually run them 4k to 5k hours about when they are needing new undercarriage. My first 2 040's I traded in at 2k hrs my salesman made me deals I couldn't refuse to get into new ones.

    The serviceability on my old kx 121-3 isn’t bad but it looks like they have improved quite a bit on the 040

    • @jeramyreberpuredirt7873
      @jeramyreberpuredirt7873  Год назад +1

      A few things are easier A couple things are a little harder. The ac is belt is way easier on the 040's. I have had several 121's and they were all very good machines. Thanks for watching and have a great evening.

    Why do you prefer steel tracks over rubber.?? Ant advantage.?

    • @jeramyreberpuredirt7873
      @jeramyreberpuredirt7873  Год назад +2

      First they last much longer, I have gotten over 5000 hrs out of a set, they add weight to the machine for stability, don't kick off as easy and in my opinion get better traction. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful day 😊

    So Kubota says the hydraulic oil capacity is 17.7 gallons, when you change the oil how much do you actually end up putting in? I did mine today and really only needed about 13 or so, I'm guessing there's a bunch of extra oil still in the lines and the rams?

    • @jeramyreberpuredirt7873
      @jeramyreberpuredirt7873  Год назад +1

      No it doesn't take the 17.7 and you are correct there is oil held up in the in the system. Thank you for watching and have a wonderful evening 😊
