When I was in kindergarten, my teacher Ms. Boyd took me in the bathroom and changed my clothes to a brand new dress, shoes, socks and even underwear. When I came home my mother was so shocked and cried. She did this multiple times. It's the reason I love dresses to this day. You don't have to do much to show you care!
Same. I love what she did for Mr Larry, I love that she gave toys, but Mom is struggling and mom needed something. Mom can't do anything with toys, but I'm trying to be grateful for them for what they got.
See, social media said a year or so ago that a man with a job that’s drives a bus is a “NO”. They gone keep thinking like that and miss out on a great man! Kind. Selfless. Works and easy on the eyes 😍.
I wanted to be a bus driver in 4th grade and some of my family was not having it. I never became a bus driver but I did teach 11.5 years. This man desires it!!! He gave back to a kid and made his day. That’s what’s up!!! This makes me want to return to teaching. I’m pursing my second dream of becoming a chemist. God bless his mom and siblings and the bus driver!!!
I retired from being a JCPS school bus driver last October. Larry & I were immediate co-workers for 6 years. SUPER good guy! Totally in character for him. GREAT to see him getting well-deserved recognition!
Congratulations Larry. I was a school bus driver for a year in Canada. The most I did was played kid’s appropriate music for them on Fridays. This is awesome, I was so touched, I cried. Continued successes to the mom and her other children, Mr Larry and all the kids who cross your path. Very Proud.
I love this about Tamron and her show, always showing real everyday non-celebrities as well. Also, she is so empathetic and understanding……one of few that I could and would love to easily be friends with!!
You never know how one word or gesture could make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. I had a very similar experience when I was young. I was 1 of 9 kids in a struggling 2 parent home. I can only imagine struggling as a single mom or dad. You can tell life probably had not been so kind to her especially when she said she was surprised. Great job Tamron. I love this everyday people segment.
It would be nice if school could receive donations for these spirit days. Some parents do not prioritize their children's wants (since pj's aren't a necessity a child can sleep in a tshirt and sweats) but the children should not suffer.
Yes, special days like this should be explained that they are optional and even if you don’t wear what the theme is, you can still participate. They can also mention alternative outfits because everyone doesn’t wear pajamas.
I am happy and a bit angry at the same time. Happy that the Bus Driver was led by his spirit to do something nice to make the young boy feel good and have a great day at school. However, as for the mom, something just throws me off. I know that times are hard and people are doing their best, but with so many resources in Louisville Kentucky, especially for those who have children, him not having pajamas or clean ones is unacceptable. That's my thought and opinion.
She didn’t have pjs cause she didn’t have a washer and dryer hookup. They said the community already looked out for her and provided that. Y’all don’t listen and that’s irritating
To: commenter,Brenda taylor,,,,,,thank you for your comment! I really didn't think of the fact that maybe the little boy may have had a medical condition that the mom couldn't afford to take care of. I assumed the boy was over reacting! I typed back saying I'm sorry for some things I said,,,,,,,,,but seems like most people don't want to accept my apology! To all commentors: please read again,,and again,my entire comment! Did anyone see, read, the positive, nice things I said?? People only want to comment on the negative!! Come on,folks!!I don't hate the little boy!! There were a few other comments( not exactly positive) given by other commenters, and no one beat them up like many of you are beating up on me!! I said I'm sorry, and seems lots of people can't forgive me! Wow!! So,I guess none of you out there have never said things negatively, without thinking,,and wished you hadn't said what you said?? Let up off me,o k? I'm not the devil,I assure you! ,,,,,,,,,peace to all(ms. Ila),,,,,,,,,and,I've raised 3 boys practically by myself( with God's help) ,,,all grown now,,,,41 years,35 years,29 years old!! I'm praying for the little boy and his mom. If I ever saw them in person,I would bless them financially, really. I turned my situation over to god,and he helped me. We went to church, prayer services, prayed,,,and you'd never believe the miraculous ways god sent help to me. We are just fine now, trust me. Praying for all single moms struggling to raise children.
That little boy was annoying,,,trying at every turn to hog the show,,and upstage the host!! I'm sure he was grateful for Mr. Larry, the bus driver's gift of a pair of pajamas,,but I could barely tolerate his silly behaviour!! You'd think humility would be the order of the day,,,he only calmed down and stopped that silly, clowning, show off behaviour when his mom said she lost her mom at a young age, then he momentarily stopped and hugged her tightly. That was nice. Then he went on to continue hogging the rest of the time! So annoying! Are there any more commentors out there who agrees with me? One can tell he was overly spoiled rotten! Love a child, but teach him manners, discipline too!I'm glad, however, that the bus driver helped him. Kindhearted, sweet guy!!!
Levi's emotional intelligence is on another level. Comforting he's mom when she was crying, I'm bawling.
We need more men like Mr. Larry!!❤
That’s the key “not judge, but help”❤️. We absolutely love you,Tamron❤️!
Amen!🙏🏽

WONDERFUL story! Thanks for posting!
I wanted to hear more of the mother's story. However, the bus driver has a kind heart and what a handsome man. ❤.

Tamron said the community reached out to the mother. The community probably donated funds to the family.

This is such a beautiful story just doing one small gesture can truly change a life. I wish there was more they could have done to help the Mom.

$1000 in toys? Such a waste. But wonderful story
She has 6 kids! Plenty of toys for all of her children
@@jeanatai78The obvious choice would have been to get them a washer/dryer.
@@bobbyray7558 It sounded like that problem has already been taken care of. When the story went viral, a lot of people stepped up to help her.
@@bobbyray7558 Tamaron stated the community had already stepped up. So maybe there was no longer a need

Maybe could've cut the toys to 500 and 500 for rent or food. Finances was why she didn't have any pajamas for him.
Why don’t you send it? Always one

No because he's a child, most if not all can't sit still at that age. I'm so happy Mr. Larry was able to help this beautiful family❤.
Something is very wrong with you. A child bothered you like that?
Guess you've been an adult all of your life; it's a KID for god's sake.😡
Are you ok ?
