Managing emotional energy does not come naturally for many. Thank you for your wisdom.

Yes, 100% it is! I love teaching about it for that reason. Thank you.

Love this! I’m not a mother but I love learning about this and putting things like this into practice to parent my inner child now so that I can be a regulated mother one day.

My problem is that I am not emotionally regulated. I'm always stressed out. I've been in therapy for years and while I've gotten better, I still panic/get irritated when my kids starts crying. When they cry, it awakens the "people-pleaser" I was trained to be, while simultaneously making me angry that I am a people-pleaser, thus, I swing in the opposite, angry direction.
I know what's happening, but I don't know how to fix it.
Honestly, I wish I could find a mommy and daughter therapist, because my girls deserve so much more.

Why you didn't let her go to the cart? From your stories it's starting to seem like you constantly deprive your kids from joy. And that's bad because you're stealing their carefree happy childhood moments.
