Sir in our plant for running air heater there is one electric motor and when it fails air motor comes in service. Please tell can we run full load with air motor or we have to stop unit . Flue gas path dampers to bypass air heater from flue gas side are worn out and our maintenance team says it could not be attended due to erosive nature of flue gas . So if air heater electric motor fails then we have to stop unit . Can we replace air motor with DC motor. Please help sir our unit is 250 MW BHEL unit.

Yes we can run unit on full load when aph running by service air , yes we can put DC motor too but if you have one ac motor and one air motor available it is sufficient

@@BhagwanSRathore thank you sir, but our bmd says we can not run unit at full load with air motor, even when load is reduced they say permissible limit for air heater baskets will exceed. So we had stopped unit 3 times . What is practice in your plant . please make video on this point
