Enjoying Episode 2 and the depth of explanation rather than just focusing on tactics. I am trying to understand the trading process and the information shown and am hoping you can provide a bit more detail. At the 8:25 mark you are talking about purchasing Compass Wood being sold at 64 for 200 Gold, which I take to mean that you will get 64 Compass Wood units for 200 Gold. Beneath that it states that the Port Stock is 653. Does that mean that the seller has 653 units of Compass Wood available for sale meaning that you could, for instance, purchase 128 units for 400 Gold? Cheers.
Hey Mick, thanks for your comment. The 64 for 200 means that that seller is selling 64 units at a price of 200 each. That seller only has 64 units but you could buy them all for 12,800 gold The port stock refers to how many units are available in the AI market. At the time of this video the AI market was selling a single unit at 382 gold.
Thanks for the clarification HF. I could have got that horribly wrong as it could be read either way. Is there a written guide anywhere to explain the ins-and-out, or is it pretty much trial and error. I have done a search but have found no such guide so far.
Joseph Anderson Your ship, will stay in world for a little over a minute, then disappear. when you log back on you will start where you cut out...unless someone attacked you during that minute your ship was in world.
Joseph Anderson, yes only certain production buildings are allowed to be built in certain ports. I do not know of a resource that lists them all. You really just have to go to a port where you have an outpost and see what buildings you can build. try googling it, there may in fact be a list some where.
No. It all depends on your preference. Great Britain is the largest Nation and might be the easiest to start out in(because they are so big you can hang out in the middle of their territory to avoid enemies.) I personally prefer Pirates. I feel the community is by far the best. Plus I like being able to attack any nation and not have to worry about alliances. In the end, It's all up to you! :) Thank for the subscription, I appreciate it.
You're right, it is more money. I was saving that for a later video because in my opinion, it is better to get as much cash as possible as quickly as possible when you are first starting out. Once you get the hang of the game mechanics, I definitely suggest using contracts. I'll cover that in an upcoming video. Thanks for the question!!
Excellent video - thanks so much, super useful 👍
Stumbled across your vids, hopefully your still playing NA and uploading vids
Am I missing something or are you at 17:00 comparing Oak Log harvest cost with the Fir Log trading profit?
Haha Haha. That is entirely possible. :) Good catch. :)
@@handforged8591 Haha no worries, non the less an awesome video and thanks for sharing! Have a sub!
@@taskforce876 Thank you! As soon as the next economic patch goes live, I will remake all of these videos. Much of this information is outdated.
@@handforged8591 Thank you! Much appriciated.
Thank you !
Tony Dxb. Of course! There is so much more we could dive into on the topic of making money. I'm hoping to go deeper in later videos.

I have yet to find a guide. There may be one but i learned by trial and error....a lot of error. ;)
What happens if your internet craps out when you are at sea transporting precious cargo?

Nice! I like that feature. If someone attacked you does the AI control your ship until the battle is over?
Sadly no, your ship is basically a sitting duck. :(
Noooooo! lol
Are there only certain ports where you can grow oak forests?
I guess a better question would be this, "can you only mine/grow certain resources at certain ports?"

Does it matter what nationality you choose? I would love to play as my home country of Denmark :D
