Heard this on the radio again. It still gave me the chills just like the first time I heard it back in the 80s. Back then while listening to the song, I kept imagining and wishing I had the kind of grandma that Diane Reeves described in her song. Flash forward 40 years after I realized that BETTER DAYS IS MY WISE GRANDMA. Listening to the song soothes the souls of people who were born into families that were given the challenge of growing up with problem parents and grandparents - what today's world labels as 'dysfunctional families.'From the bottom of my soul THANK YOU LORD FOR BLESSING DIANE REEVES with this wonderful message! This song touch me in a special way. My grandmother passed when I was on active duty overseas. And, I was the only one in my family. Who didn't make it to her funeral. And, hearing this song the first time. Had me in tears.

with all due respect the song is nice but the lyric that states grandma was given wings and flying, gliding is false she is sleep in the grave awaiting for judgement, that is the order of things her breath has left her body into the atmosphere .. you have a lovely singing voice
