Well Done! I used to deliver groceries for a supermarket and there was this old guy who was not very friendly. He wasn't nasty. Pretty much like George. It was just a business transaction. One day I tried to engage him in a conversation and to my surprise we exchanged a few pleasantries. After some time we would chat for five minutes or so. Some people really just need someone to show some interest in them.
The bird in the cage is the bike massenger. He has to deliver packages all day and every day. We are all trapped in our jobs and we can't do what we want.
| sort understand why the man (housebound, sounds better than disabled) was depressed, but I was a little concerned, about his safety riding adapted chair. If there was a collision he was the 'crash test dummy' so to speak.
If it makes you feel any better, we had someone ready to stop the bike/contraption at any point and they were also going at a speed of less than 2mph - that wasn't slow motion! And he also isn't actually handicapped! He's acting!!
