    When you stop trying to improve yourself, you simply do what comes naturally. You express your own nature, and observe the results. If you’re sensible, you do more things that bring joy, freedom, and expansiveness, and you stop doing things that bring about painful or disastrous results.
    Distillation of examining decades of life: you can’t help other people no matter how much you sacrifice yourself. So don’t do it. Betraying yourself creates a greater disaster for everyone involved than you could possibly imagine. This makes perfect sense when you recognize that we’re all one. What you do to yourself, you do to the other.

      I quit drinking in 2017, but as of 2024 realized letting it go was taking it in. THC actually assisted this revolutionary thought process in my mind, body, spirit. I found that what comes most UNCOMFORTABLY is Also what I (We), do most naturally...as in Study 7 straight years of Watts, Jung, and the Algorithm for filling my RUclips with who I Am TODAY. I've won, you've won...Yet losing is perfectly fine, as long as effort is your trusted process.

    Thank you for an Alan Watts lecture the way they actually sounded, without the insipid music soundtrack so commonly added today. Like all great communicators, he knew how to use silence to punctuate his words, precisely what is lost when music is added. You have earned my like and subscribe!

    I had a terrible nights sleep last night, how can I let go of my mind and all the bs that comes along with it.

    • @EquanimityLogic
      @EquanimityLogic  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Nebula! The most efficient way to reduce rumination/overthinking and getting caught in a cycle of thought attachment is to meditate. Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce synapse activity and thought impulsivity. Extremely useful to reduce BS thought patterns and improve your sleep quality....Try 10 minutes, everyday, morning and/or afternoon, and sit still and focus on being aware when your thoughts occur. Observe your thoughts occurring and observe them diminishing without attaching to a thought. Overtime, this becomes a new habitat that causes a silencing of the mind and reducing rumination and any kind of unproductive thinking. In other words, sit still without reacting to the thoughts in your mind until your body learns to be unreactive and calm. Research meditation techniques until you find one that resonates with you. Slow moving Thai Chi is an excellent morning routine that also achieves the same outcome.... And yes, you start to sleep better as well! Hope it helps

      @@RighteousOutlawMusic Don't have a specific category to offer, although, 15 minutes (twice daily) I sit in a quiet location in a comfortable seated position, spine straight, and use slow diaphragm breath-work to completely relax the human body until you can feel your entire physiology continue to enter deeper levels of relaxation (minimal tension throughout). And allow a thought to naturally arise and diminish without attaching a subsequent thought. Naturally increase the time between a thought arising and naturally diminishing until the experience of simply being without any kind of thought occurs; and without any type of forced effort. The conscious state is an indescribable neutral state of existence. However, we encourage all forms of meditation as a daily practice. 😊
