This episode we push through the bulk of the Volcano Manor area, taking out the secondary boss in the area and reaching Rykard, who we'll save until after we've finished the various Recusant questlines. The Erdtree seal is picked up this episode which is a best in slot seal at 80 faith. Additionally there was some loot overlooked that I'd like to point out. At 9:32 you see a ladder on the left. If you go up it onto the roof you can drop into a room with an omenkiller and obtain the Albinauric Mask and Albinauric Staff. The mask boosts arcane by 4 while decreasing flask healing by 10% and the staff can reach S arcane scaling making it a rather unique choice. There's a 2nd ladder exiting the room with a Rune10 up top and it'll drop you back down to the door we entered at 9:48 making it very easy to add into your loop.
What would be the point of no return for diallos quest line? For me is bugged and i keep hooping that they will patch it until i actually brake it completely.

@@jmath-_-317 It’s well hidden, it’s not just up the ladder. You have to follow a path that’s not easily noticeable if I remember right. Because I remember going up the ladder and wondering where the item was. I ended up wandering around and eventually dropping down somewhere and following a ledge into a room. Hard to remember exactly. But I’m sure you could look it up.
Rya does have a good ending you can choose not to kill her and refuse to give her the potion go back to that spot after killing rykard and you'll still get the talisman and a letter and she'll thank you for your kindness and eventually go back to the manor I ended up killing her but I found this online cause I was curious

Did platinum and then rushed to ng+5 on my 225+ lvl char so decided to run through the walkthrough again, been having just as much fun, especially now that I know a bit more.

For those wondering, go the church where you fought godskin, go left, up elevator, go right in the room with the crazy man, around stairs with crazy snake, and jump off the right of the bridge right there.

Yes, the shield you mentioned, a Stonesword Key, Golden Rune [9], Smithing Stone [6] x 2. There are some pot people here, including a big one and exploding pots.
At 9:32 if you face south east, there is a ladder that takes you to the roof top. Proceed forwards to the edge of the roof to find a platform with an open door. Roll down and enter through the door and an Omen Killer will be guarding the room. Who will also drop the cleaver. In the room, on a corpse there is a loot which gives the Allbinauric mask and Albinauric staff. Then turn south east from the entrance door and go forwards and you will find yourself in a corridor and then go straight and turn left and proceed forwards until you find a ladder. This will take you to a balcony with a rune 10 loot on a corpse around the corner.
I know I'm really late but thank you for taking the time to get all of this done, I was struggling so much to get through limgrave before I watched your walkthrough, then I continued alone and got stuck in crumbling farm azula so I'm going back through your walkthrough with a different character and a different build and there's so much more I've done in the same time just from watching you. Just a quick FYI. If you use your mimic to defeat the magma worm just save and quit before you go in to fight the god skin and you’ll get your mimic back

Actually, after you kill Rykard, Zorayas' letter says that she's going on her own journey, she doesn't just die. So that's the happy ending for her in my opinion.
This is where “happy” becomes subjective & altruism doesn’t equate with life/death. The ethical conundrum is typical of FromSoft and there’s plenty of videos out there which show how nearly all your actions with NPC quest lines results in their utter despair or demise. Think, Boc, Alexander. So, with Rya you have the option to kill her and end her misery, as she has pleaded with you to do (assisted suicide?), or you refuse her and leave her to endlessly journey the lands in absolute misery for who she is, has become, what her mother does & her role in it and with so much pain she can’t bear it. That’s happy? Maybe! Maybe not. Hence, the conundrum. If you watch lore videos (I’m all about Vaati’s) then you know she’s not setting out on a sojourn of wanderlust to find herself. She’s instead roaming the lands in pain & suffering. How about we call it an “optional” ending to her line rather than “happy?”
@@FreshGanesh As others have said in another thread, with the player becoming Elden Lord, it may no longer be the land of misery. So, there is hope and hope is exactly what the letter conveyed. That is a happy ending.
Hey Cowboy did you know that if you go through the room with dogs after omen killer, you can do a long jump to the rafters for another stone sword key and then drop down and go to the left fo a graveyard with some pots. You can find smouldering shield there with some other goodies. 😀
Took me 4 tries completely naked to make that jump, honestly when I first noticed the item I was confused because the jump doesn't look possible, I only tried it after I saw a player ghost doing it lol The pot graveyard was cool, a little out the way place to reward fully exploring an area that brought on full Izilith PTSD just from the orange lol
Don't forget you can use the beast repellant torch to stave off the basilisk. Also, if you're following Cowboy, you can one-shot the basilisks with a heavy attack from your +10 Bloodhound. So, you can easily clear them out without fear of their Death breath.
For anyone like me who didn't see the glowing guy at the end of the hall in Volcano Manor when Cowboy originally met him (the one who talks about killing Rykard), he mysteriously appeared for me after Raya moves locations.
Just in case anyone watching doesn't know yet you can put the Bloodhound Step weapon art on many weapons - all daggers I know for sure off the top of my head - it is basically the rush forward on the second hit on the Bloodhound's Finesse art just without the hit, it is fantastic for dodging boss attacks but also by a long way the fastest way to maneuver across lava and slow swamps, much faster than backstepping and considerably faster than the quickstep art as well.
As of patches 1.08 you can kill Rykard this episode and still finish the other 2 invasion quests. I killed him for Blasphemous Blade hit grace and left and did not return until I killed Juno in Mtntops and the other guy in the capital. I got all the rewards for doing so and got to use BB through the whole capital. I can't speak to what happens if you kill him and the return to advance some dialogue
Imagine trying to find a Piece of rice in a 🪣 bucket of salt 🧂 that's software quest for you , without these guides it would of took me weeks just to finish only 1 quest, for example npc be like I need an item get me one tarnished end of the convo that's software games for you what item what do you need ring 💍 book sword that's how bad the games quest lines ...

I agree, don't get me wrong I love this game but without guidance vids it's damn near impossible to do everything needed and many many ppl would trash the game. There should have been an option for optional guidance to point the way towards guest lines and bosses. I like the puzzle aspect myself but can be rough for sure.
At 32:43 the Sobering 7 you said you got in an earlier episode was patched so you can no longer reach it the way you did in the earlier episode. Worth noting to the player they probably still need to go and get it as they wouldn't have been able to get it as you did.
At 1:05 that alcove in the wall is actually destroyable (it takes something like 50 hits to destroy it), I read that the devs forgot to remove it. It doesn’t do anything and just leads to the room with the merchant who sells the ashes, it also respawns when you rest at a grace. Useless I know but a good piece of trivia.
Yes and after you destroy it, since you can attack in that tight hallway you can jump into the room with the npc and attack him before you land into the room where you can’t attack. I did it but I didn’t do any damage to him thought. My scythe just went right through him.
I watched Cowboy walkthroughs on DS2 and Elden Ring. I went way ahead of cowboy and then I watched his videos while staying ahead. If I miss anything I go back and snag it. There are consequences of that sometimes but playing the game blind hits different. Cowboy the goat though

Running thru this guide as a faith build. Most enemies in the manor area are flame resistant and I had hell of a time with those abductors - killed me many times. Ended up having to use lightning spear from range where it could not get into melee range. Also those bears are a pita. Love the guides.
I love the dark souls games although for my skill level they’re very challenging, I enjoy the challenge, your walkthroughs take a lot of the guess work out for me especially in this game, hidden wall here and there, secret areas ect. That I know I’d never find on my own. You really help me enjoy the game to its fullest for me. So for that thank you cowboy you’re awesome. Love the commentary. Short simple and to the point. Anyone following the walkthrough completely should have just recently picked up those Bloodhound Claws which have the Bloodhound Step Ash of War equipped. You can use this to traverse through the Lava areas much quicker than either a regular quick step or the back step method that Cowboy is using. Yes it uses a little FP but not much and makes for a much faster And smoother experience in the lava areas of the map. 😁 As for me I had already killed the Knight Rider that drops Bloodhound step by the time I made it here on my first playthrough so I had already been using it religiously 😂
You just plow through bosses that took me FOREVER. Had to cheese the magma worm and just cast rock sling from up top after I agro'd him. Love the content. You're on one screen while I work on the other. Makes for a nice change of pace :)
You missed a loot. After killing the Godskin fat boss, once you drop down to where the slugs are, go to the edge of the cliff to the right of where you dropped. There is a Golden Rune (12)
Been playing this map for 3 hours and completely forgot t about that sending gate. Figured it would send me to another dimension i wasn’t ready for… only to be sent to a Grace point in valcanonmanor I havnt been to b4. Ty
Volcano manor is definitely a legacy dungeon. If you go first time the layout is very "confusing". It's bigger than academy and as big as stormveil. I ffffed up and I only did 2 quests there. I lost bull and wolf set all all the others.
agreed 100%, i probably spent 6-8 hours exploring every nook and cranny of this place and it felt HUGE, hell there was even a spot i still missed that cowboy hit in this guide with the Magma Wyrm. Sure if youve ran thru the place 5 times to make a walkthru it might feel small, but your first time here I think the atmosphere and level design is amazing, one of my favorite dungeons in the game for sure.
I have to disagree, when i first ran through this dungeon I was appealed by how small it was. But I suppose if you suffer short term memory loss, I can see how it can be confusing or big!
When he was giving me options on either keeping rya alive or just killing her when she asked for the talisman I was like thinking and while he said you get the talisman just mops her I laughed so hard, by far my favorite RUclipsr keep up the hard work and funny analogy’s 😂🔥
Ashamed to say it as this is my 6th playthrough but there is a little gravesite area i'd never been to before in Volcano Manor. When running across the roof top (of time stamp 13:46) it is across the larva to the right, there are smithing stones.
Cow oy did u know.. 2hen u use ur mimic before u summon him arm urself with the talisman that Andros enemies on to u be abuse ur mimic has all the traits u have be will ha e the talisman on.. then after u summon quickly disarm th3 talisman on ur side and makes fights wayyy easier..
Does anybody went through an area that is underneath the houses that Cowboy goes thru in the beginning of the video? @ 12:58 there is a loot visible in the distance. It's a stonesword key. You can get to it from omenkiller spot. To have to run jump to get it. After you get it you drop down further and there is a cave with alot of tombstones. There are few more items like rune[9] and a smoldering shield as well as few jarpeople. Beware of the yellow jarpeople as they explode on death. There is also one big jarman that isn't an Alexander. Then you proceed further around. Go jump on the roofs and you end up back to the spot from which you jump for the stonesword key.
So there’s a golden rune (12) at 22 mins when you drop from the terrace area. When you drop it’s to the right hand side down the edge just by a window on a corpse 👍
5:58 This item is not there in version 1.00. So if you are like me and aren't fortunate enough to have internet which allows you to download the update patch to get the finished version of the game. The search continues to find somber smithing stone 6.....I wish developers would release games when they were finished instead of requiring internet paywalls to make up for their laziness and incompetence.
Where cowboy dropped down to the slugs at around 22:00…turn around towards where you dropped and there is a low path next to the stake that has a Golden Rune 12
30:27 about the boss, so i checked ahead and it seems if we do the boss fight we lock ourselves out of the remaining volcano manor quests (hunting the tarnished). Apparently, you can be transported directly to the boss by the tanitha after certsin conditions are met

If you use the ladder on the right,by the snake man blocking door after anductor virgin, you can drop down and fight omen killer. The Albanaric staff and the alabaric mask is it that room. There is also another ladder in that room to climb up and get a rune item
@Fightincowboy the somber 8 up top by the abductor virgin you got earlier in the series you cannot reach now that the ledge was nerfed. Is there a normal way to it besides trying to do the acrobatics?
i got here severley underlevelled and its great to use lorrettas magic bow move to clear out the poison guys and farm some runes. you just stick to the first rooftop, range on that thing is a game changer

I could be wrong but I think you missed a spot. There is a other lower area down by the lava with one large pot and several small pots. There's some loot and I think one of them is a stone sword key.
Also, when you get to the building far west where the serpent is guarding the door there is a few loots up the ladder to the right and then on a drop down from that roof as well that lead to albanauric mask. Little jar area also down in the lava where a stone sword key is I believe. Forgot exactly how to get to the jar area below I believe it’s somewhere around where the Killer Omen dude was at the fire below rooftops.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but where we dropped down to kill the first Omen Killer after clearing out the roofs. If you down the side where the two dogs are located, there is a running jump you have to make on the side from some stairs going down. If you follow that you will get some random loot as well as the Smoldering Shield from the graveyard below the building. Lots of Exploding Jar Men mixed around in the graves.
So a tip for those who send out their summon sign to help ppl. U can enter the boss fog and grab the serpent hunter weapon then save and quit then u can help ppl with Rykard before u actually kill him in ur own game
For anyone having trouble with the Rya quest line this may help. If she is not turning into the snake, make sure it is night and that will solve your issue. God bless
24:52 i accidentally swung bc it was night time, it was very dark, and I thought she was an enemy. Closed the game before she disappeared but it didn't help. Does this ruin my 100%?
That girl just disappeared on me. She turned into a lizard. When i went back, she was gone. She wasn’t in the spot where u killed her. I was never prompted to tell lady Taneth that she was gone. I reset the world state many times and checked both spots many, many times.

So, with Rya you have the option to kill her and end her misery, as she has pleaded with you to do (assisted suicide?), or you refuse her and leave her to endlessly journey the lands in absolute misery for who she is, has become, what her mother does & her role in it and with so much pain she can’t bear it. That’s happy? Maybe! Maybe not. Hence, the conundrum. If you watch lore videos (I’m all about Vaati’s) then you know she’s not setting out on a sojourn of wanderlust to find herself. She’s instead roaming the lands in pain & suffering. How about we call it an “optional” ending to her line rather than “happy?”

Hey Cowboy did you know that if you go through the room with dogs after omen killer, you can do a long jump to the rafters for another stone sword key and then drop down and go to the left fo a graveyard with some pots. You can find smouldering shield there with some other goodies. 😀
Can also get there from where he first got onto the rooftops. Look left and hop down onto the ledge

Took me 4 tries completely naked to make that jump, honestly when I first noticed the item I was confused because the jump doesn't look possible, I only tried it after I saw a player ghost doing it lol
The pot graveyard was cool, a little out the way place to reward fully exploring an area that brought on full Izilith PTSD just from the orange lol
Don't forget you can use the beast repellant torch to stave off the basilisk. Also, if you're following Cowboy, you can one-shot the basilisks with a heavy attack from your +10 Bloodhound. So, you can easily clear them out without fear of their Death breath.

For anyone like me who didn't see the glowing guy at the end of the hall in Volcano Manor when Cowboy originally met him (the one who talks about killing Rykard), he mysteriously appeared for me after Raya moves locations.
Almost every play through I do he is never there at the same time sometimes I never even see him
Just in case anyone watching doesn't know yet you can put the Bloodhound Step weapon art on many weapons - all daggers I know for sure off the top of my head - it is basically the rush forward on the second hit on the Bloodhound's Finesse art just without the hit, it is fantastic for dodging boss attacks but also by a long way the fastest way to maneuver across lava and slow swamps, much faster than backstepping and considerably faster than the quickstep art as well.
As of patches 1.08 you can kill Rykard this episode and still finish the other 2 invasion quests. I killed him for Blasphemous Blade hit grace and left and did not return until I killed Juno in Mtntops and the other guy in the capital. I got all the rewards for doing so and got to use BB through the whole capital. I can't speak to what happens if you kill him and the return to advance some dialogue
Worked for me as well. Left the manor after killing Rykard and I was still able to complete the invasion requests.
Imagine trying to find a Piece of rice in a 🪣 bucket of salt 🧂 that's software quest for you , without these guides it would of took me weeks just to finish only 1 quest, for example npc be like I need an item get me one tarnished end of the convo that's software games for you what item what do you need ring 💍 book sword that's how bad the games quest lines ...

I agree, don't get me wrong I love this game but without guidance vids it's damn near impossible to do everything needed and many many ppl would trash the game. There should have been an option for optional guidance to point the way towards guest lines and bosses. I like the puzzle aspect myself but can be rough for sure.

At 32:43 the Sobering 7 you said you got in an earlier episode was patched so you can no longer reach it the way you did in the earlier episode. Worth noting to the player they probably still need to go and get it as they wouldn't have been able to get it as you did.

Hour 320 playing this GOAT game at this particular point - part 47 of the walkthrough.
At 1:05 that alcove in the wall is actually destroyable (it takes something like 50 hits to destroy it), I read that the devs forgot to remove it. It doesn’t do anything and just leads to the room with the merchant who sells the ashes, it also respawns when you rest at a grace. Useless I know but a good piece of trivia.
Yes and after you destroy it, since you can attack in that tight hallway you can jump into the room with the npc and attack him before you land into the room where you can’t attack. I did it but I didn’t do any damage to him thought. My scythe just went right through him.

I watched Cowboy walkthroughs on DS2 and Elden Ring. I went way ahead of cowboy and then I watched his videos while staying ahead. If I miss anything I go back and snag it. There are consequences of that sometimes but playing the game blind hits different. Cowboy the goat though

If you have been following the walkthrough for getting through the lava quickly, use Bloodhound Step from the Bloodhound Claws that you picked up

Running thru this guide as a faith build. Most enemies in the manor area are flame resistant and I had hell of a time with those abductors - killed me many times. Ended up having to use lightning spear from range where it could not get into melee range. Also those bears are a pita. Love the guides.

I love the dark souls games although for my skill level they’re very challenging, I enjoy the challenge, your walkthroughs take a lot of the guess work out for me especially in this game, hidden wall here and there, secret areas ect. Anyone following the walkthrough completely should have just recently picked up those Bloodhound Claws which have the Bloodhound Step Ash of War equipped. You can use this to traverse through the Lava areas much quicker than either a regular quick step or the back step method that Cowboy is using. Yes it uses a little FP but not much and makes for a much faster And smoother experience in the lava areas of the map. 😁 As for me I had already killed the Knight Rider that drops Bloodhound step by the time I made it here on my first playthrough so I had already been using it religiously 😂

At 21:40 there's a really nice piece of candy to the right that you missed - a Rune 12 I believe - that's a shiny worth getting.
You just plow through bosses that took me FOREVER. Had to cheese the magma worm and just cast rock sling from up top after I agro'd him. Love the content. You're on one screen while I work on the other. Makes for a nice change of pace :)
You missed a loot. After killing the Godskin fat boss, once you drop down to where the slugs are, go to the edge of the cliff to the right of where you dropped. There is a Golden Rune (12)
Been playing this map for 3 hours and completely forgot t about that sending gate. Figured it would send me to another dimension i wasn’t ready for… only to be sent to a Grace point in valcanonmanor I havnt been to b4.

Volcano manor is definitely a legacy dungeon. If you go first time the layout is very "confusing". It's bigger than academy and as big as stormveil.
I ffffed up and I only did 2 quests there. I lost bull and wolf set all all the others.
agreed 100%, i probably spent 6-8 hours exploring every nook and cranny of this place and it felt HUGE, hell there was even a spot i still missed that cowboy hit in this guide with the Magma Wyrm. Sure if youve ran thru the place 5 times to make a walkthru it might feel small, but your first time here I think the atmosphere and level design is amazing, one of my favorite dungeons in the game for sure.
I have to disagree, when i first ran through this dungeon I was appealed by how small it was. But I suppose if you suffer short term memory loss, I can see how it can be confusing or big!

When he was giving me options on either keeping rya alive or just killing her when she asked for the talisman I was like thinking and while he said you get the talisman just mops her I laughed so hard, by far my favorite RUclipsr keep up the hard work and funny analogy’s 😂🔥
Ashamed to say it as this is my 6th playthrough but there is a little gravesite area i'd never been to before in Volcano Manor. When running across the roof top (of time stamp 13:46) it is across the larva to the right, there are smithing stones.

Cow oy did u know.. 2hen u use ur mimic before u summon him arm urself with the talisman that Andros enemies on to u be abuse ur mimic has all the traits u have be will ha e the talisman on.. then after u summon quickly disarm th3 talisman on ur side and makes fights wayyy easier..
Does anybody went through an area that is underneath the houses that Cowboy goes thru in the beginning of the video? @ 12:58 there is a loot visible in the distance. It's a stonesword key. You can get to it from omenkiller spot. To have to run jump to get it. After you get it you drop down further and there is a cave with alot of tombstones. There are few more items like rune[9] and a smoldering shield as well as few jarpeople. Beware of the yellow jarpeople as they explode on death. There is also one big jarman that isn't an Alexander. Then you proceed further around. Go jump on the roofs and you end up back to the spot from which you jump for the stonesword key.
So there’s a golden rune (12) at 22 mins when you drop from the terrace area. When you drop it’s to the right hand side down the edge just by a window on a corpse 👍

5:58 This item is not there in version 1.00. So if you are like me and aren't fortunate enough to have internet which allows you to download the update patch to get the finished version of the game. The search continues to find somber smithing stone 6.....I wish developers would release games when they were finished instead of requiring internet paywalls to make up for their laziness and incompetence.
Honestly just go to a public library to get it set up, you can even use remote play to connect and update the game without having a separate display.

30:27 about the boss, so i checked ahead and it seems if we do the boss fight we lock ourselves out of the remaining volcano manor quests (hunting the tarnished). Apparently, you can be transported directly to the boss by the tanitha after certsin conditions are met

If you use the ladder on the right,by the snake man blocking door after anductor virgin, you can drop down and fight omen killer. The Albanaric staff and the alabaric mask is it that room. There is also another ladder in that room to climb up and get a rune item

i got here severley underlevelled and its great to use lorrettas magic bow move to clear out the poison guys and farm some runes. you just stick to the first rooftop, range on that thing is a game changer
At 9:33 there is a ladder that you can go up then fall down onto a platform to get the jiren looking mask and also another ladder to get a rune 10 if anyone wants it

abductor enemies are weak to lightning. can stagger em pretty easy with that armament.
What armament? Do you mean affinity? Lightning is an affinity.
I could be wrong but I think you missed a spot. There is a other lower area down by the lava with one large pot and several small pots. There's some loot and I think one of them is a stone sword key.
Also, when you get to the building far west where the serpent is guarding the door there is a few loots up the ladder to the right and then on a drop down from that roof as well that lead to albanauric mask. Little jar area also down in the lava where a stone sword key is I believe. Forgot exactly how to get to the jar area below I believe it’s somewhere around where the Killer Omen dude was at the fire below rooftops.
Just drop down from the beginning roofs on the left by the second snake he kills.
13:12 you can jump on the cages on the side of this house to get on roof instead of going all around like Cowboy did, if this is all you needed.

Not sure if it was mentioned, but where we dropped down to kill the first Omen Killer after clearing out the roofs. If you down the side where the two dogs are located, there is a running jump you have to make on the side from some stairs going down. If you follow that you will get some random loot as well as the Smoldering Shield from the graveyard below the building. Lots of Exploding Jar Men mixed around in the graves.
I keep trying to get that. If i drop down i die though.
So a tip for those who send out their summon sign to help ppl. U can enter the boss fog and grab the serpent hunter weapon then save and quit then u can help ppl with Rykard before u actually kill him in ur own game

The happy ending to her questline is actually where u don’t kill her and she eventually leaves on a journey and leaves the letter lol
For anyone having trouble with the Rya quest line this may help. If she is not turning into the snake, make sure it is night and that will solve your issue.

That girl just disappeared on me. She turned into a lizard. When i went back, she was gone. She wasn’t in the spot where u killed her. I was never prompted to tell lady Taneth that she was gone. I reset the world state many times and checked both spots many, many times.
That magma wyrm had me mad asf for 3 days
