Nice to see the old Shakespeare Big S being used, it still catches. Tight lines.

Wow....great video ...really enjoyed it and I have to say ,your passion is clear to see.......".Spoiler Alert".....I am not trolling but fact finding.....given the points you made about pike welfare ....why do you still use old fashioned snap tackle for your dead baiting? you have seen the evolution of carp fishing and I wonder why you have not explored ,nor championed the use of either single or double rig Circle Hooks as a much safer way of preventing the horrific ( and sadly we have all experienced it) deep hooking....your thoughts?... TIA

Also a big size 2 widegape carp hook thro the face of a small deadbait is good and easier to unhook than trebles. In my opinion there is very little to no reason to use trebles nowadays

Thanks for the comments and the interesting points raised around different trace setups(single hooks etc) it’s certainly food for thought however my choice of trace and tackle is based on confidence and reliability having used this over many years, this is also the choice of many top pike anglers to this day (not that I am proclaiming to be one of them) maybe in the future it would be something I could explore!
