⭐️ I’m working on the subscriptions and apps myself. I shut them off but then used DoorDash the other day. It’s really hard to cut the cord after using these services for so long.
❓Is anyone else having a hard done cutting one completely off?

Some very good advice Jen! Too many of us are drowning in debt. My Dad always used to say, "If you can't pay cash for it, you don't need it". At the time of his passing at 79 he still did not have a credit card! Years ago I used to scoff at him, now I am trying to emulate him!
Yes! I agree! I know some of the stuff Dave Ramsey says sounds crazy to some people but… not to me! I agree with every bit of what he says! 🙌
Great video, Jen! I got DoorDash sticker shock a few days ago when I was out of town with my daughter & after a day of driving, we opted to order supper using DoorDash because it was convenient, we were tired & in an unfamiliar place. $70 & lackluster food later, we wished we had just ventured out and found a McDonald’s or had brought some sandwich stuff with us on the trip! Our order wasn’t really anything that should have been remotely the amount we paid and to add insult to injury, neither of our orders had utinsels included with them. Kind of difficult to eat a salad without a fork! Of course, that was a restaurant issue, not DoorDash … 😡 Never again! I deleted the App already & have no plans to download it again!
Yes!!! The food is always lacking!!! Idc where it’s from! 😂
I know how to cook some food! And so does Jason - so nothing that take out has to offer is ever better than what we can make here at home. It’s that convenience that I have to get away from. It’s NOT worth it! And $70 sounds about right! 😒
I've spent a long time learning how to cook, and can cook most foods cheaper and better than takeout, so why wouldn't I? We do get takeout once a week, as a treat on Fridays because that's the day that I do my deep house cleaning, but we could cut that out if we wanted or needed to.
One thing I figured out after baby was born was that I did need some convenience sometimes, so we almost always have something quick in the house for a day when I'm really tired and just not up to cooking - frozen fries and chicken strips, frozen pizza, premade meatballs to throw with some spaghetti, stuff like that. It's more expensive than making it from scratch, but not nearly as expensive as buying it from a restaurant.
Girl, yes! I just did the same thing! At Sam’s I bought- buffalo tenders, FF, southern style chicken sandwiches, Philly cheese steak sandwiches and quesadillasssss!!! Such a good point to comment ! Thank you for adding that! 💛💛💛
I absolutely agree on the cash versus card issue. We just stop keeping track on card purchases.
Same! It just keeps going out with no one paying attention! Gets me into trouble!
I recently started watching some videos on “velocity banking” to pay off debt. Super interesting.
Eek I have seen this, too.
I am doing some research on that, actually.
I’ll post a video with my “findings” and my opinion…. As soon as I have one. At this moment, I’m conflicted on it.
@@2SisterBees I’m conflicted, too! Cash stuffing helped me get out of debt and stay out. I’m not sure I would have been disciplined enough to control my spending if I was using a card all of the time. But if you can stick to it, it seems to make sense. 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks you Jen! You are right I hate spending my cash. I take cash out after all my bills are paid and it has to last me. If I keep using my cards I will have to keep working two jobs. I did your challenge last week and canceled 2 subscriptions. I kept going back and forth with myself and finally I did it, 🥳I have2 more I’m thinking about canceling.🙂
Great job! Be ready for this week’s Mini Personal Challenge! I have another one for you coming up! 🙌
I love mint. Got it as soon as it came out, and save 250 a month 😊
Wonderful!! Everyone needs to watch this video! 🙌🤩
Haha! I wish! 🙌
But thank you! I have 5 more I want to put in another video!
I changed to Mint mobile about 2 or 3 years ago and it was the best decision ever!
Girl! It’s crazy the amount of $ I’m saving !! 🙌
Jen, this is a Video that so needed to be made and you did it without sounding preachy or condescending. Times have changed and we need to get our finances in order.
Oh thank you! 💛
I am doing these things myself so I better be preaching to myself if I wanna start preaching! 😂😂
It’s hard out there and it’s definitely adjustment time! 🙌
I didn't use cash because of some early issues with learning to count change in school and an abusive teacher. Still won't count change, but using cash makes so much of a difference in my financial success.
I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you, Lisa. I hope you can heal and know that wasn’t your fault. I have always told my girls since they were very small- I don’t care what station someone holds in life, no one is above anyone and we are all human. Even someone who holds a title of teacher, coach, preacher, parent… doesn’t matter- if someone hurts you in any way, you have every right to come forward and say it.
Don’t allow anyone to hold you back from what you need and want in your own life. You are worth moving beyond how that person made you feel. 💛💛💛
So many great ideas. I've been waiting for Mint Mobile to come to our small north east Texas town since I saw their first ad.
I am very happy with it- yes, they have that search where you can check your area.
I loved this video! I get sucked into using my credit card cause I get anywhere from 3-5% cash back and feel like if I use cash I’m missing out on some free money! But I do see how if you use cash you think twice about what you are purchasing and only get what u need. Probably takes out any compulsive buys! I do like to do the Walmart online pickup though. I usually only buy what we are out of and by not going into store I don’t impulse buy!
I did this today at Sam’s. I did pick up and literally spent HALF of what I would spend if I went in.
I get what you are saying about the % back.
I think as long as you have the cash and pay it immediately- there’s nothing wrong with doing it that way.
It’s when we use the credit instead of cash and then don’t pay it in full. I always have “good intentions” and sooner or later, get myself caught back up in that trick bag! 😂
I love your confidence when you speak about this topic. Thanks for the reminder. Greta video❤
Thank you! 💛💛💛
I went thru my apps after watching your video. I noticed one I downloaded a while ago and forgot all about. Then I unintalled about 2 others. If I don't use them get rid of them. Thanks for the tip!!
I love it! 💛 Great job!!! 🙌
I really enjoyed spending some time with you today Jen
Thank you so much! That means a lot ! 💛
August and September no spend months for me. Trying to pay down some debt
I love No Spends. I have been trying but not trying hard enough.
I am going to get serious in August! I have so many goals I want to reach- I have to do it!
I’m with ya!
That’s some serious debt. Great video! 👏
Thanks for watching! 💛
Only reason I cut off doordash and never went back was because my account got hacked and it was being used in LA and I’m nowhere near that area, otherwise I would still be using it till this day lol. I love using cash but the bank pisses me off sometimes lol. I enjoyed your tips video, you made some very valid points Jenn!
Hahaa! The bank pisses you off… that made me lol! 😂
DoorDash is a great idea, a great service and I’m sure it helps a lot of people out.
I was just abusing it. 😂
Like, literally- abusing it! 😂😂😂
This was great video, been cash stuffing for 3 weeks and only bill are done on line, so far have save and rolled over 300.00. It really does change how you spend money 💴
That’s awesome, Gina!! Great job!! 👌💛
Great video. Thanks for the Tips. I went shopping to day and paid in cash. If I do use my credit card. I only charge what I can pay off before it is due.
That’s how you do it, Cindy! 💛
We miss you this last Sunday
I missed you guys, too! 💛
I’ll be back this weekend!
We were spending the week with our kids. They visited for 5 days and we celebrated an engagement! 💕
First time watching new subscriber.
Awesome!! Glad to have you!! 💛
Really good information, and so well presented. Thank you.
Thank you so much for saying so! That means a lot! 💛💛💛
Wow great video. You get the point across so well!!!!
Oh, I appreciate that so much!! Thank you for watching! 💛
Great video Jenn and definitely good reminders. :)
Glad you liked it and thank you for watching!! 💛
I tried mint mobile and wished I could have kept it but the service don't work where I'm at and I live next to a city. I wish I could cut my phone plan cause its actually one of my highest bills. I cut doordash off with no problem which is surprising to me cause we only have doordash and 1 other restaurant that delivers to my house. But I got tired of the prices of doordash being double what they are at the restaurant. But we've cut back to only eating out once or twice a month which is great for us and we don't use doordash or anything to get it then.
That’s actually a good thing to point out here- with Mint, you are NOT STUCK in a contract! They even have a 7 day trial on Amazon for .99 cents!
All these reasons are why I went ahead and partnered with them for this segment. I truly believe they save you $ and don’t keep you stuck, if something isn’t working out.
I’m so done with DD! The food we ordered wasn’t even good! I always have to learn my lessons the hard way! 😂😂
@@2SisterBees yeah the food was always cold or missing and they got to where they didn't want to do anything about the food that was missing. I think I tried mint when it first started. Me and my aunt both got 30 days for free and after that it was only going to be like $10 or $11 a month! A lot cheaper than mine now. My bill is $105 a month but $22 of that is for a phone payment because my last phone decided to die right as I got it paid off and I'm diabetic and wear a GSM so I have to have a compatible phone cause I don't have a reader itself and of course you know they only make them compatible with the more expensive phones which I usually have my phones at least 3-5 years unless it dies. My last one I had for 3 and I was still trying to use it the best I could cause I didn't want to go back into debt for a phone. But now I'm in debt for 35 more months for this one unless I find a way to pay it off early but I doubt it cause I'm on disability with no other assistance but hopefully this one won't die on me right as I get it paid for. Lol
Thanks for the great ways to help save in these times when people have so much debt, including myself. ❤❤❤
Thank you for watching and I’m so glad that you find it helpful! 💛💛💛
Been a few things I've wanted for several months but overall price was too high. This wk, I found 16 items I'd been wanting and refraining from getting at a decreased price (on 16 items I saved $80s . Used debit to order, not cc.
Now, I should be good for awhile from ordering anything.
That’s awesome! You delayed those impulse buys and ended up saving a lot! I did good this week, too! I’ll show you guys in my cash stuffing video. I’m filming tomorrow- I’ll try to post tomorrow, too! 🙌
Love this video so helpful I shared it with people I know it will help!
Oh, that’s awesome!! I’m so glad you shared! That means a lot! 💛 And I hope it does help !
Thanks,great tips
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching! 💛
Amen!
💛
loved it!
Yay! Thank you, Judith! 💛
Loved this video so eye opening
Question regarding mint Sarah and I own our phones and only pay for the service through AT&T but recently added our mom to the account which we’re still paying the installments for the phone how would that work with transitioning to mint or is it possible?
That’s a good question.
I THINK when you owe for a phone- that’s how they keep you in contract.
I’m not sure if it’s that the phone won’t work on another network OR if you won’t be able to transfer that phone number.
I would call AT&T and ask them.
@@2SisterBees thank you for the insight, yes I thinks that’s best but I also think they’ll probably automatically say “no” as probably a lie to keep your business/contract lol 😝 we will have to inquire
Oh gosh all of this. 😅 I still struggle with variable expenses because i feel very needy some days after work. Work is exhausting and i just want to buy something fun on Amazon. 😅 I need a new hobby 😂
Haha! Yes, Jesus! New hobby! 😂
Your comments always make me smile!
@@2SisterBees 😊
Hi

Doordash...I just can't part with it. Some weeks are better than others😂
It’s hard but the food wasn’t really good the other day. It’s a lesson learned. 😂
True some days are hit and miss
💚
Hi There!! 💛💛💛
