Yessir, perfect technique,.... what did I learn, well nothin'. but that's not a knock, you put together what could arguably be one of the best how to pan technique videos, and I'm sure will help a lot of people. I mean, if I was new and searched for how to pan, I'd want them to see this video. The only other thing I will add, is if you're panning in a place with nothing but super micro-fines, stratifying while bumping it against your hand like you were showing will also concentrate those micro-fines to the side you are bumping on, which will help with recovery and snuffering. Awesome job.
@WheezinGeezerTV Thank you so much, that means alot to me, I kinda winged it when I made this video. I'm glad it actually turned out good :) That's some really good information about the gold concentrating on the side you hit the pan on. I'll have to add that to the next how to video I make :)
Good work! Nice gold finding tutorial. Subscribed 😊 Stay Golden sir Peace Prospector Tripp Btw.. Kirk from Secret Creek Prospecting turned me on to your channel ☝️
I love how you explained everything! It made it easy for me to understand where the gold is, where it gets trapped and how to keep the gold in the pan. I love the different techniques you use! 📹💛🎉
Great timing for a video like this. Lots of folks hitting the waterways for the first time due to gold prices! We're headed down your way this weekend. Going to be at Indian Mary.
Here's my experience: if you walk up to a gravel bank in a steam bed and take a pan full off the top, you will be lucky to find a flake. Take a shovel, dig a hole down to bedrock, THEN take a painful, you could likely find some gold. If you scrape dirt out of a crack in the bedrock, even more likely.
Hello slogan, John from Selma Oregon, moved down here six months ago. Love your RUclips show, any chance you would want to show someone some good spots?, Or possibly just have some company., looking for clues to go-rogue or Illinois River-?
At the moment my schedule has been changing alot, and has been making it hard for me to get any plans set in stone, but I do want to have a subscriber meet up, get everyone together and go panning sometime. When it comes to the rogue vs the Illinois, they are both great rivers for gold. In my experience the rogue is easier to find gold (lots of small pieces all over) the Illinois I've seen larger nugget pieces being pulled out quite recently but there is alot of mercury still in that river. I've never panned at these locations, but two spots that are fairly close to you that look good on Google maps would be $8 bridge picnic site on the Illinois, and Indian Mary campground on the Rogue.
Beautiful gold. But you should really put your cons in a container that closes securely, like Tupperware, etc. because you WILL inevitably spill or drop that pan and lose all your hard work.
@samshapiro9033 I really should find a good container. I've almost lost my pan a few times haha. A nice flat Tupperware would probably fit nicely in my pack
Great day out there getting that Au fam. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thanks GS

If there is flour gold, I have to use a blue pan haha, they just work too well
You are getting some great color out of those pans! Great advice in this video!

Nice vid' neighbor, thanks for the share. Heavy pans too Ya !👍👊

Your right! I didn't even think about gold price brining in new gold banners right now.
You'll have to let me know how you do this weekend :)
i am watching from the motherlode, Hangtown california, good video bro
Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
How has the gold down in California been treating you this year?
@@SkovianGoesOutdoors lot of placer gold I have a 35 acre placer mine here in hangtown keeps me busy
You can also use dish liquid to break the surface tension of the water
@darryladkins3033 I used to use dawn dish soap, it worked really well. Jet dry seems to work just a little bit better for me
I like your snuffer holder. Pretty nifty.
@@AlaskanAssassinAdventures thanks haha, it's a key card holder, just barely fits the snuffer
25:30 - waitaminit! i think see some pretty rocks in there though! a pink one and a red one and some greens! are those gems or jade or something ?
There are some really cool rock there, I don't think any are gems or jade though. In this area I think it's mostly agates, and jasper
