the remake missed the things that made the original great the chariot's dance, for example. it's not just a visual thing; it affected how he moved towards you the remake just makes him walk towards you in a straight line the worst one has gotta be the magician
You know what sucks the most? It's not scary anymore. The old graphics aesthetic added so much. The bossess were creapy as fuck. This is legit one of my favorite games ever (I played them until 4. My favorite is 2.) and was unironically excited for the remake. Not only was it a hige let down gameplay and aesthetic-wise, the controllers were also terrible and unresponsive a lot of the time. This was just a huge scummy cash grab honestly.
I do miss the old retro graphics. What sucks to is that they pitched a retro look mode to SEGA but they shot it down. The controls were absolute garbage. This is one of my favorite franchises of all time and this remake fell short in every way
2 problems i noticed in the remake, the regular zombies are faster than the bosses and boss music was not as good as the OG, lame. Worst was the Magician fight, he got completely nerfed, hopefully they do better with HoTD 2 Remake coming this Spring. Also another i only noticed when i saw the comparison is the exposed weakness for the Magician, while the legs were same the arms were swapped, in the og the left biceps and right arm was exposed while in the remake the left arm and right biceps are exposed.
Im nervous about the HoTd 2 remake. I prefer the original camera and lack of rag doll. I hope they keep the grotesque nature of the magician in the remake
In all honesty, the Remake felt more of a downgrade than the Original. Yes, there we're some things that the Remake improved on from the Original, but at the same time, it lacked that charm and flair that the Original had back in the day. Plus it felt like the enemies were easier to take down in the Remake than in the Original, ehich leads me to think that the Remake offers less of a challenge than the Original.
They did the Magician so damn dirty it's tragic.
Magician was lame and boring in the remake.
@@MegaYoYo Lame, boring and easier to boot.
Meanwhile OG Magician moved lightning fast and made the player to think fast and shoot faster.

music is bad in remake
Magician got nerfed in the remake.
You think so? I even modded in the Saturn version of HotD OST
@@MegaYoYo i know
original music is better
@@MegaYoYo it can be heard a bit but the sound of game effects and gunfire was drowning it out.
4:51 I must have been hearing Vergil when the hangman says “die”
Vergil from DMC?
@@MegaYoYo
Yep. That's the one
For me the original version bosses felt more intimidating.
Chariot looks way better in the original
I like me some blood in horror games
It’s a must have
この動画の素晴らしい所はボス戦で全てノーダメな上にリザルトの画面で救出対象を全員救っている点だろう

@@MegaYoYo I did not know about the retro pitch. That just breaks my heart into even more pieces.
