This is one of those videos that needs to be watched several times. Reading the lyrics will also help understand the various meanings.
The lyrics include references to artist Egon Schiele - an Austrian artist whose work is a favorite of Mylène. His work includes female nudes that many consider to be disturbing. This clip also connects with a line (spoken in English) at the end of an earlier clip (Pourvu qu'elles soient douces): "... God in his infinite mercy can only wash away men's sins in their own blood."
And one more note - the stage design for her current (Nevermore) tour looks a lot like the setting of this video.
The last frame of the clip (here at 08:26) shows the reverse image of Christ in a pool of blood. When you remember the symbolism of blood in Christianity, it sends shivers down your spine and personally it makes me extremely uncomfortable.
