- Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel!
Today on Wake Up America: Phillip, Tammy, and Jerry travel to Cantonville, Ohio, the tire-burning capital of the United States. Recently voted the "Podunkiest Town in America," Wake Up America features this hick-infested dump of a city as it continues its tour across the country.
Wake Up America is a morning news and entertainment program that airs on the ABN Television Network. The program debuted in 1972 and its most notable co-hosts (seen here) were Tammy McNeely and Phillip Moore, along with weatherman Jerry Sanders.

Wake Up America is my version of a stereotypical morning television program, inspired by Good Morning America. This is my first 1990s installment of the show and uses GMA's 1992-1996 theme song. In the early-to-mid 1990s, morning television programs in the United States were known for taking their shows on the road and touring the country, and later the world.

I am so excited to be able to share this video with you. This is by far the longest I have ever worked on a video. I started working on this the first week of July, and while it was not a difficult video to work on, it was definitely time consuming. Between filming, editing, building the graphics, putting the various videos within videos together, and the photoshoot for the Instagram crossover; this project took about six weeks to complete (albeit there was a week-long vacation and a week-long sickness in there too).
However, this is exactly how I wanted the video schedule to go this year. I wanted to work on a single video at a time, focus on it completely, and take the time it needed to perfect the video without having to rush to put it out. That's exactly how this went. I was able to really focus on the video, scrutinize it, change what I wanted, and make it as perfect as I could without having to rush through it.

Where on earth did you find all that b roll? 10/10 amazing, no notes
Well, the New York b-roll is from a video on RUclips that has HD footage from 1993. The rest of the b-roll was from a few stock footage websites I belong to and just searching through loads of random stuff online. That’s honestly the hardest part of making retro vids is finding retro stock footage. Getty images has an archive but they want thousands of dollars per video 😳

I wish I could take credit for the music, but I can't! This one is the 1992-1996 theme for Good Morning America. I use audio from my video's real-life counterparts or real audio from old commercials for my Retro Remakes.
