Thank you for remembering the women of the ICA and Cumann na mBan and all the great women of 1916 and all the women who stood firmly together as one during that vote in the Dail on 7 Jan 1922. May their courage and their names never be forgotten. As for the song The Foggy Dew in the video, I'm afraid it's just another song that tries to write these wonderful women out of history!
"They stand for the honour of ireland,
As their sisters in days that are gone,
And they’ll march with their brothers to freedom,
The soldiers of Cumann na mBan"
    May God bless them all.
    🙏♥

How I wish the sound was better and some of those speakers were clearer.
I have visited Dublin and knew a little about the historical events, but the stories of those women was new to me and l was fascinated and I wished to learn more. However, I was constantly frustrated by the inability to hear or understand what was being said in too many places in the film. I had no difficulties with comprehension when speaking to people during my time in Dublin.
I will have to find other sources of information. A great shame.

As usual, very well done, you've captured so much of our History, in your Easter Rising Stories, from 'both sides' , as they say... Just amazing....

Indeed as we saw in the Dail on 7 Jan 1922 when 100% of the women voted against. Seems on that day the women had far bigger balls than some of the men did.

Sabine Higgins giving a fine speech there about the women who fought for Irish freedom. Her husband of course signed a document that could ostracise people who choose not to get certain injections and who speaks of Ireland like it belongs to people from all over the world rather than Irish people.
Irish freedom is a vestige of the past now, a sham. Not only that, it was ultimately subverted by the people of the same politics leanings as the Reds...James Connollys people. That priest was right.

The new Childrens Hospital should be named after Dr Kathleen Lynn
