Thanks for tips Peter..one more.. I'm now 67. Mid 60s, our dad took us young kids to Fenway Tuesday night game vs Indians. 730p scheduled first pitch. We stood under the famous left field monster net, outside the stadium on street and chased handful of batting practice homeruns. One of my brothers chased down a ball among other kids. To this day, still has that scuffed up ball It's somewhere in his place..but you never forget those moments. I'm glad you got to today's game(s) ..did you see first game homerun fest?
I know they’d have to go 6-0 to end the season and have a couple of teams lose more than they win but it’s still possible to make the playoffs. It would be incredibly difficult but after todays performance if they can keep the momentum rolling anything can happen
@@jayc3715 there’s still six games left and they’re only four games back. Did I say it was easy no, I said it would be incredibly difficult. But let’s say the Sox sweep Toronto and the teams ahead of them all get swept, then they’d only be back one game with an entire series left. Is it extremely unlikely to happen? Yes. Is it also possible? Yes
Imagine if the Sox had sat down Devers 2 or 3 weeks ago and plugged in a healthy, functional player at third like Romy instead. We could be 81 and 75 and right in the wildcard hunt.
Imma try to make it seem like it’s possible just for fun. Red Sox Sweep the last 6 versus the Jays and Rays(this is by far the hardest one to achieve IMO, the rest I think actually may/will happen) Royals play 3 games vs nats and Braves. Nats steal 1 game and Braves get the sweep obviously(they’ve lost 7 straight, plus they’re 7-16 in the last 23 games). Twins probably bean the Marlins 2-1 in that series I’d guess, but then I’d take the orioles to beat them 2-1 in the next(Twins are 11-22 in their last 33 games). Then the Mariners have to play 3 games versus the Astros and Athletics so I def foresee 2-3 losses in their last 6. Also Note; The Red Sox have won the season series over all of these teams I believe so in this scenario they finish with the same record and Boston wins the tiebreaker on head to head
78-78 is terrible like, 50-50 team is like average coin toss team. That's not Boston baseball. But this season we had alot of blowout wins, it feels better than a 50/50 season. I still say we need to trade Duran and Dervers for a top notch starting pitcher. Could we get two? Not so much our bullpen. It's the likes of Crawford, Bello, and Pevetta that killed this season. Bello defo in the first half. He improved abit. But we'll never get anywhere for another 100 years if we don't do something.
@Hankerang can we get a brilliant pitcher on, that's already the REAL DEAL? At the moment (well all this season) we've had no issue with batting. Fielding? Massive improvement the year before. So if it was keep 1 of either Duran or Devers? I'd keep Duran hands down. He should be our captain of the team. I think maybe a franchise would love a SS and slugger for one of their too starting pitchers (albeit we need someone to replace Devers at SS).
Went to this game absolutely amazing
Did Vasquez get a good response from the crowd?
Same here, was definitely worth it even though it was postponed from rain
@@rmelin13231 ya just like a normal at bat no cheering but also no booing
Tips for attending a game at Fenway:
1. Wear a ball cap 🧢
2. Take the MBTA’s green line to either Kenmore Station or Fenway Station 🟢
3. Arrive early

There's 3 teams in front of them, it's over. There's a better chance of you being eaten by a shark in Kansas than the Sox making the playoffs.
@@jayc3715so ur saying there’s a chance….

@@elijahwoods5326the problem is they lose tie breakers to Detroit and Minnesota.
Let's go Red Sox ⚾❤️💯 till the end
Go Sox!!!

I thought about this too!!

Boy, isn't it odd to see empty seats at Fenway!!
If the sox had pitching they would be in the playoff. No doubt, just my opinion!!
Nice!
OMG, here go those damned Sox again, raising my hopes on the thinnest of possibilities…
We wanna f***ing game but like forever
They don’t deserve to be in the playoffs
Trade Duran after the year hes just had?
You’re employer said you’re not worth a 💩should he get rid off

Duran and Devers are (probably) some of our best bats right now. Would be a bad idea to trade them. And Devers is one of our only Vets on the team.
Devers is horrible atm.
Trade the team's two best hitters? That's insane.
