What a delightful film
Brilliant. getting all the first hand stories.
Such a beautiful film, showing Peel’s herring fishing industry from past to present. Love hearing the soft Manx accents. Wonderful.
Excellent
The Good old days.
After gorging myself on T T films this last week I came across this delightful film. I was born in Port St Mary I remember similar scenes in the 1940s
64 boats, the girls gutting and salting down the fish into barrels. P S M had two kipper smoke houses then.
All this died out in the 1950s
Thank you from New Zealand
