We found this in a house we are living now. I'm looking for information about this heating pump. Are you sure, it needs 0,44 kwh to heat the 300 liter tank? Thanks forward

We also have this in a house we bought a few months ago. I have to say it works well and the consumption is low. I am trying to find information about changing the anodes.

What type of solar pre-heating pump and controller are you using here? The SEA 300 comes with a PV panel correct? But this has been bypassed in favor of the glycol system; I'm assuming a flat plate collector.

    Hello Seth,
The solar pump is a SOKI basic pump unit from Stiebel Eltron. It uses a Wilo pump to circulate the Glycol. You were correct because the unit has no PV panel but has a flat plate glycol collector. The solar controller is the Stiebel Eltron som 6 unit.

Stiebel Eltron has launched a new heat pump that heats 300 liters off a PV panel. It is the Stiebel Eltron WWK 300 PV unit that you can find on the German web page if your interested. Thank you for your questions below.

One side-effect of this heat pump water heater is that it is also cooling the room. In winter you might not want it - and you will have to heat your house more to compensate. In summer this could be a wanted side effect.

We fit allot of stiebel eltron air/ground source, I've never fitted one of these though, what sort of regeneration time are you looking at, when heating up the tank from scratch? Does the unit have much effect on the ambient air temperature of the room? -Thanks

      Hello Ash,
With an air temperature of 15 deg C, rel. humidity of 70% and cold water at 15 deg C you will have a 9 hour initial heating time. The reheat time, in normal day to day operation, comes down to 5 -6 hours depending on the air temperature.
If you are considering the unit for one of your clients please contact us and we will gladly assist you with the first installation. We have learnt that, with 55 deg water and the built in solar heat exchanger, you cannot use this unit to supply hot water to Victorian baths. When you have no solar the heat pump only heats up the top 150 liters of the 300 liter tank. You would need more than one of these units for large houses where the clients have big baths and a lot of showers. You also cannot connect hot water ring main circuits to the unit even though the unit caters for this.
There is a lot more information in the manual should you be interested:
