The recommended maximum intake for an adult of apricot kernels is 1-2 small kernels a day. I would not give any of this to a child.

The apricot kernels available near my place is the 南杏仁 which I can only get from a chinese traditional herb store But when I ask the store clerk, they say that the apricot kernels can't be used more than 10g as the taste is quite strong, I've also tried a little bit and they do have a strong aftertaste Do the kernels you used also have somekind of a strong taste too or do they not? I've also tried the 北杏仁 but that's out of question since they are way too bitter and strong
i did initially try this because of genshin but now it’s unironically one of my favorite foods and now i want to make it haha also the restaurant i usually get it at serves it with lychee which i highly recommended eating it with :)
