Giddey's up and down play can be easy to explain when you realize he's heavily dependent on everyone else playing well. He can't really create his own shot unless it's a drive where the team pulls the defense out of the paint and he really shines when he can find open shooters who actually hit their shots. When they can't hit anything he's basically pointless because he's just throwing the ball to guys for rebounds going the other way. Vooch not getting paint touches is because he gets lazy in the post a lot of the time. Watch him on mismatches. Most of the time he gets the defender behind him then just stands there with his hand out. No attempt to move to get an easier passing lane, no attempt to put his body in a position where you don't have to worry about someone shooting the gap. He doesn't even move with the basketball so if the guards swing it to the corner he usually just backs out of the paint which is the opposite of what you're supposed to do. Billy explained why he doesn't give Matas tons of minutes. He thinks it's counterproductive to development to just let the rookie play no matter what and not pull him out when he's not doing things right because then you miss the chance to coach him up. That's debatable, but if that's his mindset, why not just have a tighter rotation between him and Pat, switching them every 5 minutes or so which lets him coach Matas while also giving him plenty of playing time. I will say one thing that bugs me with Stacey is that he says you need to play the bench when the starters aren't playing with energy or don't seem to care. Except outside of Pat the starters are the only guys who actually do play hard and have energy. We usually see the team blow leads and get lazy when it's the bench line-ups. They're not out there scrambling and fighting. They're usually just standing around jacking up contested 3s because they don't want to get into the paint on a drive.
I agree with what you say regarding Giddey. The Bulls are so flat with no movement and hardly take to the paint which makes it hard for Giddey when he's making nice passes only for them to throw bricks. Giddey is a play maker/rebounded but is not meant to be your top point scorer. The whole team shoots terrible not just Giddey

Third the Bulls trade away Vuc if they still have him by then to the Mavs for Daniel Gafford and some other assets. Trade away P-Will for anything and hope to get a 2nd round pick in the deal. Fourth let Carter, Duarte, and T-Craig walk in Free Agency. Fifth Resign Lonzo to a team friendly deal if he deserves it. Sixth resign Giddy if they haven’t already. Seventh send Giddy to a trainer to reteach him how to dribble and shoot a basketball. And Finally focus on the young guys like Matas and Julian Phillips.

PW obviously does not have the skills and makeup to even start anymore - it's been 4 years now, what happened?. He misses dunks, he misses 80% of his left-handed layups (what!), and this year his defense has been below average. Time to make a change there and bench him. Buzelis and Phillips should be in-front of him in the rotation right now. From what I've seen the last 2+ years, Donovan does cannot keep them motivated for the entire 48 minutes. He needs to go. It's embarrassing the way they have played this January. Absolutely horrible, and against bad teams. It is heart-breaking to see young teams like the Rockets, Pistons and Magic have so much success this year. Trading Lavine and Vuc is not the answer. At some point in the re-build and development this team will need elite scoring and veteran presence. Zach is definitely an elite scorer and he is growing as a team leader. His contract is prohibitive for him to move, so move the pieces you can and should and start building around the promising young players you have…which isn’t many. Believe me, the Bulls are gonna keep their 2025 1st round pick simply because of the way they’re playing, the best thing they can do is acquire draft capital with whomever they can. Otherwise we'll be looking at yet another Play in year where the pick lands at 11 and the Spurs will capitalize on this gross incompetence instead of the Orlando Magic. It would be acceptable if the young guys were getting 20 plus minutes and won enough games to lose the pick. But what we're seeing now is just stupid decision making.
