    One of the two "control wheel knob thingies" on the left hand side of the PaK 36 gun is actually a firing trigger. This design was also shared by a similar Soviet light anti take gun, and instead of a lever or lanyard as on other German guns, this one was fired by pushing hard on a large button like mechanism. You can see that in the 2014 movie Stalingrad when the Russians fire off a single shell at a T-34 wreck and ricochet it into a hidden German position.

      Did you know that theRussian gun was a copy of the German 37, copied whilst the Germans still developed their military hardware in the USSR? However, they took it a step further by making it a 45mm gun, slightly increasing its firepower .
      And really, that was one of many dumb moments in the film. The sheer luck involved in that shot would is so astounding, I'm surprised one of the squaddies wasn't a Soviet leprechaun.

      TopBunkProductions Yeah that movie was full of BS like that scene, but at least it was entertaining.

    That little part you broke, ..... It happened to me too and at exactly the same place! I used one of the passengers to make a driver, just cut his legs and other parts of his body that prevent him from fitting off and you have a driver!

    My kit came with the ausf c instructions so your video really helped me with the pak's sight, thanks, you earned yourself a new sub!

    i have the same kit from the bolt action starter, but the instructions were different. they don't mention the pak 36 version so i was a bit confused about some of the alternate parts... so your video was quite helpful

      Interesting. This video is fairly old, maybe they've changed the instructions since I bought it. Seems annoying if it doesn't mention the pak bits. I'm glad this was able to help!

    the difference in size isn't too bad certainly not as bad as the difference between the rubicon 251/d and warlords resin 251/9 stùmmel. the stùmmel version is a lot thinner and narrow looking and it was a bit annoying as I bought the rubicon 251/d (bought 2) from warlord and fully expected them to match up in scales
    it's certainly not a deal breaker, when playing you don't notice it if I'm honest but I know some can be really strict on their scales. I still find 1/48th scale additions to the 1/56th setups make me uncomfortable lol I haven't a clue why but it just don't sit right!!! :)

    Quick way to tell who made the kit from warlord, Square sprues like this are in house(possibly produced by Renedra, but designed by warlord), round sprues are Italeri and round sprues with pegs that stack are from wargames factory.

    nice halftrack! Rubicons 251 looks a little more detailed, but im guessing that one is a bit more expensive though. anyway, still a good looking model!

    Yes do the magnetization. In Russia they would remove the 37mm, it made the command vehicle stand out and that is not a good thing. Hey, could you magnetize one of the mice?

      Actually, they didn't remove the '37; from mid to late war, they replaced the gunshield with a lower-profile version that looked more like the MG gunshield.

      boer harms anders koop ik ze allebei gewoon xD mijn vorige plastic soldier company modellen waren ook erg mooi op de rupsbanden na, maar het is niet iets wat je niet kan mooi maken met wat green stuff ;)
      Translation: otherwise ill buy them both xD my last plastic soldier company models were really nice too, except for the tracks, but they werent something you cant fix with some green stuff ;)

    why not prime and base coat before assembly?

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  6 лет назад +1

      Mostly because I don't paint right away and having the model in parts makes it hard to play with. Also I'd end up just losing the bits somehow.
