I had the chance to get a train trip from Damascus to Aleppo in early 2011 just few months before war began. Once I arrived in Aleppo railway station I realized there was the chance to go in Iran by train and of course it got quickly into something unreal to do but after 10 years you made my wish come true!
I love these travel videos and enjoy them very much. I have a request to make. when you are passing some towns and cities can you please put the names of these towns for us to know which areas the train passes through. I am a blue-blooded Railwayman's daughter and have lived in a railway colony just in front of the railway tracks and have literally grown up with the sounds of trains passing through.
At 16min there is finnish language spoken. Did you hangout with the other europeans in the train? 😊 they said at least the following words : "Sisältää " "meidän"
Great to come across this video. This journey is so high on my list. Unfortunately no trains now from Europe into Turkey. When did you record all this?
My friend! How did you go about purchasing the actual ticket to Tabriz? Did you buy it from the website/app or did you buy it from the desks at the train station in Ankara? Cheers
Hi! What a great and insightful video! I wanted to ask you, I’m planning a trip to Iran and I just found out thanks to your video that there is a train from Turkey to Iran which is great! But my question is, did they stamp your passport? I have been reading online that Iran no longer stamps foreign passports entry/departure and visas are given in a separate document. I read somewhere else that at the airports in Tehran, Shiraz and other city where the major airports are have been doing that for some years. Is it the same case when crossing the border by land? Because if they do, then I rather taking a flight from Istanbul 😬Any insight is be much appreciated! 🙏
Thank you so much for your feedback. I did enter Iran both with train and plane. I did check my old passport now, and I couldn't find any iranian stamps. But I'm not 100 % sure.
A1 Travel Blog. Thank you so much for sharing your travel experience over this very interesting rail route. I would love to know more about how you got on in Tabriz and your onward travels. 👍
No, not on a land border. I had a visa from the embassy in Norway. You only get a visa on arrival if you arrive on a plane. Thank you for watching my video!
Actually this was a very good video. Seeing parts of the world I have never seen was great. It would be nice to know te prices you paid for those cabins/train ride. Thanks.
Just 15 years ago, in the train restaurant, you could buy variety of beers and Turkish Rakı. There was even meze(Cold/Hot appetizers served with Rakı). You could buy beer even in 1 liter beer mugs. Since 2010, it's forbidden, thanks to who shall not be named...
How much do you pay for this train trip from Ankara - Tabriz ? Enjoying your lovely videos sir 🙏👍💐 thanks, from a tour guide and driver in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia 🇲🇾
Nice video mate, I live in the UK, got british passport, I have query, I want to travel Iran from Turkey by Road or by plane whichever is better. How did you apply for visa? was the visa in your passport? any entry exit stamp on your passport? can I travel without a guide? the reason I am asking because I do not want any stamp on my passport otherwise it would effect my travel to some countries, I like to travel everywhere. Please give me information as much as possible. From Iran I might travel to Pakistan as well

Great video. 🤣🤣 Those toilets in the ground will keep your colon and prostate in tip top shape until you're ready to die. 90% of men who live in Western countries with sitting toilets will have issues with colon and/or prostate. The muscle structure around your genitals, rear and midsection become weak with age and put pressure on internal organs.
I love watching/taking these kinds of long distance journeys and watching the landscape change
Great to see you here, Brian! 🎉🎉
Iran is a very hospitable country.
The Persian people are some of the best in the world
