I'm looking forward to the read-a-thon! Although I've dealt my first card and selected my first book, I'm a mood reader and will not select again until I finish the first book. Don't worry...I won't start until 8/1! This is the first time I've ever participated in something like this and I'm excited to see how it impacts my reading success! Thanks for hosting! (By the way, I found you through JashiiCorrin here on RUclips.)
@@HumbleVoyager so glad you found your way here from Jess! I’m so excited to have her and lots of her followers join. Like you, I’m so excited to see how drawing the next card will keep me excited to read 😊
I really loved The Briar Club :D I've heard it's a lot different than other Kate Quinn books (this was my first), however I loved the character development in this one. The audiobook was fantastic.
@@BekahBooksandBujo A Psalm For The Wild-Built, The Great Gatsby, Pride & Prejudice, and Lightlark is what I have so far still working on the rest of my tbr in case I read more and the one prompt I picked was related to last read so I have to wait on that one anyways.
Looking forward to the readathon! I usually set my monthly TBR all up front, but I'm burning out a little on that so I'm just going to do my draws throughout August and see how it goes. I'm happy all the prompts are general enough that I should be able to choose everything from my existing TBR - super specific prompts can be fun to find books for, but I need to focus on the ridiculously long list i already have!
I picked my cards already because I like to have a TBR ahead of time so I can see if Libby or my library has the books, so first book is The Deal, for card 3 a book I own
I can't wait to get started! I did get a host pick and am not a big fan of shorts. Would these books work for that? I saw a few that are on my radar already.
@@NefliteArts I normally group contemporary and literary. Just honestly anything that takes place in today’s world that doesn’t necessarily fit romance. Hope that makes sense!

What's contemporary as a genre? ^^'

Thank you for doing that! Sorry it went there first.
I absolutely loved The Lovely Bones. The movie though - just skip that. It's awful (in my opinion)!
Good to know!! Thanks for the tip.
