I have met her and had a wonderful time listening to her. Talking and laughing comes very easy when you are around her. I wish her all the best life has to offer.
I love her so much. Tho I only learned about her two years ago at 18. I’m so happy I found her music she’s so talented and beautiful. Literal icon. Hope I can see her live one day
I had a crush on Mavis as kid. My dad took us to see the Staple Singers perform and once grown I had happened to see her walking for exercise on the South Shore beach. She was alone and there was no people around. She had a stick and I said, "Hi." She replied back,"Hi." I kept it moving to respect her space, but it was such a shock to see her. Now,she's 80yrs old and still got a crush.😆😆😆😆

The Staple Singers were a power behind unity. They touched black and white lives alike and brought us together. And Mavis continues to do that magic at 80+ ? WOW! Gotta love that woman!
It's good to hear from Ms. MARVIS STAPLES. WE the fans ❤️ love her. We love her voice, she was blessed by God with her beautiful brassy voice to bear witness of the songs 🎵 The STAPLES SINGERS to up lift people everywhere. When l was a kid in the seventies l would sing along with the Staples Singers on the radio. 📻 Ms. Marvis Staples we the fans love you. Mrs. Staples you're one of the best singers in the whole entire world I am 60 years Young my name is Linda deadwyler I love you so so much as a little girl I remember my mother play you and your songs and your father on her old stereo when I was a little girl This Is 2020 and I love you just as much now God bless you and I see you in heaven with Mahalia Jackson and all the great Legends that was here on Earth that got us through one day at a time by listening to your music God bless you forever in the next world Infinity😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
The Staple singers music used blurr loudly from juxbox players in tarvens in the 70s when i was about 10/13, i ll take you there, respect yourself, if you ready, come go with me. Fond memories. Thanks to the web am able to gather latest info on this talented musical family.
Mavis is all over todays music. She has a track with Arcade Fire, guested on a Gorillaz track alongside Pusha T, her most recent album is produced by Ben Harper, the last two records were produced by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, and she guested on a Hozier track just last year... I think it's safe to say that Mavis disagrees with you about "todays music". It's this ridiculous bias people of each generation develop... they always think they have the only real music.
Oh, and look at all the current artists she sings with at these celebrations! Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Valerie June, MC Taylor, Maggie Rodgers, Jon Batisse... Apparently Mavis is partaking in the "not music"?
I adore this woman with all my heart. Mavis !!!!
one of prettiest singers ever...inside and out. Pops was an icon.
She's a riot! No wonder everyone wants to work with her. One would feel immortal and rejuvenated in her presence...
Mavis isn't the only one that loves what Mavis is doing!

Amazing. She looks 50
I would like to know why Mavis didn't attend Aretha's funeral; they were good friends.
i imagine she must have had a minor illness that kept her away
I think she did attend. she didn't sing at it though.
Wanna watch full video s of Stars
I adore her so much. I want to be friends with her.
National Treasure😍
She sings theme song for Greenleaf
No that's Shirley Ceaser
Jane Devells mavis sings the latest one, Shirley sang Tear your kingdom down I think it was used the first few seasons
Very true...Mavis does sing the Theme song for "Greenleaf". Mavis' name is also mentioned in the credits for singing the Theme song.
