No, ive never "burned" a board from overheating them. They do have a minor thermal impact, but you have 4 fans to counter that. On the ground it may shorten your envelope a little, but i'm jn Alabama, it's like 95-105 most of the summer, and i'm not burning shit up 👌
@@Fly_High_FPVi just ordered some from you lol Do you only do it to this pcb board? What about the camera/vtx? I have a caddx polar vista Sorry if you mentioned this i was watching the video on silent
@RandoManFPV I always put it on fc and esc and receiver boards. The vista is waterproof, but i coat the solder pads. The camera is optional. For extreme waterproofing, remove the camera body and paint the board front n back, avoiding the sensor. Once it's reassembled, check the focus, then paint the threads and the backplate to prevent water while immersed. Normally, you can skip the camera 👍 ive got a whole playlist called WaterProof Quads, where i show how to coat fc's, and esc's, show underwater testing , flights in the rain, and more. Brandan_FPV 's RUclips is another great resource 👍
@@Fly_High_FPV thank you for responding. I just ordered some worry free and plan to coat. Are there any other components that can affected if coating is layered? Other than usb and other plugs ?
Not sure, only one company has made any changes, and said they did so proactively. Tbs said they wont stop. I bought about 100fc's because i dont wanna run out
Cheers Dave getting some geww ;)
Good to know! Maybe one day I'll actually do it! 😅
do the electronics heat up more after coating them?

@@Fly_High_FPV awesome thank you so much bro I'll definitly check the Playlist
What if a work come off the pad and you need to resolder it back on . How do you get the coating off so you can solder back on the board. ?
3:50 He mentions how to get it off here.
@@SunriseWaterMedia scrape it with a fingernail that's the answer ?
@@ChrisQuadFPV That's what he says. He's the expert 🤔😉
@ChrisQuadFPV yeah bud, it peals off easy with a fingernail for rework 🤘
Aren’t there parts of your stack that you shouldn’t coat like the barometer?
Yes, if you use the baro, i typically disable it because i fly full manual and no GPS

If you're looking for a barometer, it's usually a silver tic tack, with a lil round hole in tbe top..dont clog the hole 👍
@@sydballa6572 that's it, have fun 💦💦
Hey bro! do you think the ban is going to affect parts to all countries? should we be stocking up on stuff?
