By the end of this take I was just so relieved I didn't mess up the final section, my brain couldn't do anything else than show a mix of exhaustion and relief. I'll try the laughter next time 😎
What a performance Tim! 👏 enjoying it almost every day. Someday, in few years, in decade, but I will play this one. Our life is endless road in the end ;)
once again, that's very good work, i never could have made this far on this tune wirhout you. i'm so glad you did it ! love your face at 3:17 !!! i really understand why !
That run almost cost me my marriage here at home 🤣 Everyone was sick and tired of hearing it over and over and over again. Good thing is, there is now (all of a sudden) extra money to spend on soundproofing my studio! 😎
Exusme for my english, but It s very helpfull yourr teaching,to improve Tommy Emmanuel s Song, the tabs and booth watching when you mMr van Roy play the Song ,i Ve improved
You are the best tim👍👍👍👌👌👌we r appreciate ur hard work and inspirational progress though out all videos!!!! Thnx for giving us this art and knowledge,ur the best teacher i ever had tim👌👌👌👍👍👍👏🙏🙏🙏
That was awesome Tim! I’ve been working on this one for a couple of months, I definitely understand the look you had on your face face after the fast runs! 😂😂
Thanks Dorsey! Yes, those runs are insane. I play them in tempo with the rest of the song (around 160-170 bpm, 4 notes per click)... But Tommy pushes the tempo in those runs all the way to 190 or even 200... What a maniac 😅
@@TimVanRoy Just subscribed to you on Patreon. Can't thank you enough for all your hard work. Love your music and your tutorials are fantastic! Keep on Rocking Tim!
Just exceptional again. Well done. I'm so impressed that you can flat pick as well as you boom chick. Most people fall into one or the other category but you really can do it all. Would love to see you tackle some of his blistering solos now I've seen you do that. Maybe stevie's blues with all the solos. But again I tip my hat to you sir.
Thanks Kevin! I'm actually an electric guitar player that learned fingerstyle much later in my music career, so the flatpicking is a bit more natural than the thumbpick. But this was still quite a challenge!
Wow, excellent work, it's so difficult to play so clear and sensitively the song like that as you!! I hope that with your help I would play this song at the decent level in the future ;)
Be prepared to put in quite some time 😅 This one took me longer than any other song I did, but I do think it is playable and in places easier than it sounds. But those runs... sheesh...
Those runs are something else, huh? I just play them in tempo with the rest of the song, but Tommy really pushes the timing of those single note runs when he plays it. I find it really hard to replicate as well...
"one take all the way" attempt at the song. You did it .... again! This is só difficult "to get it" : technic, sound, the (one) video take --- (and praying) till the last notes. Tim, diepe buiging.
Thanks Paul. To be fair, I always try and do "one take" videos... but there is a big difference between "one take" and "the first take". This video was NOT my first attempt 😅
Cmon bro, Tim also was there :) Everyone was at your level, even Tommy himself. Just take your time and you will succeed! For me, this is one is impossible for now, because I can't play that well using pick, idk I will need at least 2 years to learn this one :)
I love the positive vibe here 🤓 And it's true: I remember struggling myself when first starting out with this style. It does take a lot of time, but at the same time it is incredibly rewarding!
Hi Tim. First, exceptional performance! You are as close to Tommy than anyone else I have ever heard. I once learned "Those Who Wait" from you, and my plan is to eventually sign up with you again and learn "Angelina" and "Endless Road" from you. I love the sound of this guitar, and I have not heard of a Mayson before. What type of woods is this one made of? And where are Maysons made. Thank you for all of your ispirational performances. One more thing--I don't use a pick. Can I do this song without one, in your opinion? By the way, I love the interview you did with Tommy! Take care, Tim.
Hi Dan! Mayson as a brand was on an amazing run here in Europe, but they got completely cut down by Covid (it's a Chinese company). The last news I got is that they are still struggling to recover, and it's even up in the air wether they are going to pull through... The price to quality ratio of these guitars is great! Endless Road without a pick is probably going to be tricky, especially the opening part and (of course) the really fast picked run. But as always, if you can prove me wrong then I'll be the first one to applaud you!
Love the face after the fast run 😂
where we go now?😂
Like a “hm not bad”
Must be so nice to be able to play Tommy's tunes so well.
You can do it if you really want 😊
I like the way you play Endless Road as much as I like the way Tommy plays it. You have a unique voice - very smooth, and superb dynamics.
Perfect. I ever listen without watching and seems Tommy's playing.
Thanks Giorgio! Tommy plays it faster than I do in this version, but that's why he is Tommy 😎
@@TimVanRoy you will be able to play fast as him...I hope to do it fast as you....
Tim - At the end you need to break into hysterical laughter just like Tommy! Super clean playing!
Seriously you have the best tutorials! I watch your tips on how to play like Tommy Emmanuel over and over again!
By the end of this take I was just so relieved I didn't mess up the final section, my brain couldn't do anything else than show a mix of exhaustion and relief. I'll try the laughter next time 😎
@@TimVanRoy damn Tim. If you have hardship on this then with which hope should we start learning???
What a performance Tim! 👏 enjoying it almost every day. Someday, in few years, in decade, but I will play this one. Our life is endless road in the end ;)
Simple beautiful..great Tim !!!!
Bang on. You have my utmost respect 👍🏼
Astoundingly beautiful Tim, you’re an absolute legend. I was smiling throughout the whole video ❤️❤️
Great to hear! I was stressing myself out most of the time so it's nice to hear that doesn't come across too hard 😅
Thanks for the ear massage, that was an amazing cover!
I had this in background... I had to recheck if I was listening to TE! You are such a pro Tim.
You are a LEGEND!!! PLLSSSSS NEVER STOP DOING TE TUTORIALS!! 😍😍😍
No worries, that won't happen 😎 I've got new lessons lined up all the way to May, and in a few weeks you'll get to vote on the new songs for 2021!
@@TimVanRoy your work is really amazing!! Thank you so much, it means really a lot to us all!! ❤️
Superb. Love your relaxed looking style of playing.
If I have managed to look relaxed throughout this song then a career in acting might be an option as well! ;-)

Absolutely amazing Tim!!
Thanks Andre!
Might be my favorite TE song... and one of his most difficult to play. Impressive playing.
This has been quite a challenge indeed. Let's hope that 6-part tutorial makes it possible to give this one a try!
You are such a talent !!
You seem like such a gifted player and warm and good person aswell
Thank you for existing friend 😇😇💚
Awesome Tim! Sounded fantastic!
Thanks Joe! This was a huge challenge, I'm glad it turned out ok!

One of your best covers for sure I know this took some time very well done Tim!!!!
Thanks Austin! Yes, this one took a crazy amount of time. The next few songs will be a lot easier than this one...
Reaction and the end says it alll. Well done!
A mixture of relief, exhaustion and realising I won't have to play this song for a few days now. My wife was ready to kick me out of the house 😅
That was an awesome cover. Well done!
Thanks Walter! No doubt the hardest song by Tommy I have ever done!
Really well done
Amazing as always!
Thanks James, much appreciated!
great job my friend!
Thanks William! Much appreciated!
Well played Tim
Thanks Phil! This was a hard one to crack, both the tutorial and the cover version...
True legend ❤
Thanks Mohammed! Tommy is the legend 😎 We are all just trying to get close!
Good Job, its one of Tommy's inspiring Song
And one of his hardest (I think)...

You got those runs right in the pocket. That's awesome stuff, brother. Been plugging away on this song for years and I can never get the timing right

at this rate and the songs that you know, you can host your own Tommy Emmanuel concerts :D keep it up dude!
It has been suggested before... "Tommy by Timmy". Snappy title 🤣
Amazing sound :)
Thanks Marcel!
I feel your pain🙃 god, that looks like hell to play. Well done Tim. 🍺🍺
Truly one of the hardest songs I ever covered, both as a song and as a tutorial... Glad it turned out good!
