Im a retired special agent with your beloved Internal Revenue Service looking for a new career path. I deeply enjoyed jumping in my G car and driving to diff cities to conduct irs business. Always been kind of interested in dedicated local home daily to home few times a week trucking routes but cdl costs always scared me away lol. You ladies are great by the way
Great Video. I talked to a ole driver who use to work for you before he retired from you guy's. (He said he loved everyday). I start CDL School in February 2 and hope to be one of your new drivers. Hope to see you after driving school.(oh, I am in the Yucca valley calif area.92284).
We're glad to hear! Schneider offers up to $7k in tuition reimbursement to trucking school. Feel free to text “Chat” to 28000 to chat with a recruiter with question.
That is amazing this is a great video I have Gary the recruiter calling me tomorrow I applied for the regional position for the panhandle of Florida that is awesome I was so glad about that and so much opportunity with Schneider I love that so much
Thank yall so much for the information. I've been looking at schneider for two weeks trying to learn more about the company. I have no cdl and had intrest in the dedicated ltl position. I'm a big simi truck lover and I have one crazy question. Do choose your truck or do they assign you one? Had to ask this lol I've seen the freightliner and I think the Kenworth but imma big valvo fan. But u dont know if valvo are just for leasing or not
Hi Matthew. We're happy that you found our Facebook Live video helpful. We have options to help you get your CDL and many driving options for new CDL holders too. You can make a request for a certain truck, but there's no guarantee you'll receive it. Truck assignment is based on availability and operational needs at the time you start. We look forward to seeing your application with us!
Hi Linda, we do not, but we can help you find a school here: schneiderjobs.com/truck-driving-jobs/inexperienced/become-truck-driver/find-truck-driving-school.
Update, greyhound messed up, and I missed my connecting bus in Binghamton, NY by ten mins, lol.. Had to bus it back to Syracuse, and wait until next Monday to leave for training..! Still, I'm looking forward to joining the Schneider Team..!
Sorry to hear. Treat this as your first lesson in becoming a truck driver: plans can change and you have to adapt accordingly. Keep your recruiter updated on your status. Thanks for the comment.
schneiderjobs, absolutely.. I took it in stride, handled the situation and greyhound employees with respect and understanding. Contacted kelsey within minutes of me finding out.. Thanks guys.!
Well done. We look forward to you coming aboard. When you finish orientation, make sure to find us on Facebook and send us a picture of your first Schneider truck!
Trucker Tone get ready for huge disappointment out of Schneider. They will use you, abuse you and run you into the ground for little pay. Good luck though. I was just like you in 2007, excited to join and got out as fast as I could.
Schneider let me down big time. Leading company I always wanted to go to. Left me go after 6 days of training claiming I haven’t progressed. Keep in mind I came in with the CDL. Think about it, maybe it’s the trainers.
Our Intermodal positions in that area require at least 6 months of driving experience but we have many other driving options available to new CDL holders. View them here: sni.jobs/SanBernardinoYT
Yes. Our Flatbed jobs are tied to our Dedicated line of business and are available in select areas nationwide. This video goes over it: ruclips.net/video/3b3Cu6tHrNo/видео.html
Yes. We have Tanker positions available for new CDL holders and would put them through our orientation and trainnig program. Give us a call at 800-447-7433 for more details.
Most likely Phoenix but your orientation and training location will depend on the type of position you apply to. We have training locations around the nation but not all train for all types of driving jobs. However, Schneider covers the cost for transportation and lodging during orientation.
Hi Cliff. We recommend speaking with the DBL first to see if your concerns can be resolved. If not, you may reach out to your Operations Manager or your Human Resources representative.
He could but there's no guarantee he'll receive one. We are currently over 3/4 of the way in our transition to an all automated transmission truck fleet.
We offer CDL training but it's limited and current scheduled pretty far out. However, we still offer up to $7,000 in tuition reimbursement to trucking school. For more details, visit sni.jobs/StartDrivingYT
ok. At least take it in consideration. When I was at LCT in Okahumpka, Fl, we hauled refrigerated goods. Our main freight was Orange juice products and flowers. That kept us going. Ok. Thanks.
I Live in Los Angeles.. Please how can I apply and work under schneider tanker driver.. Please it would be a nice pleasure to know.. Lastly, do you also have an office in Los Angeles? Thanks please I await for you reply..
You can learn how to start driving with Schneider at: sni.jobs/StartDrivingYT. We do have some driving positions in the Los Angeles area. For more details, or text CHAT to 28000 to chat with a recruiter.
It depends on severity and time frame since the offense. We evaluate your background history on a case-by-case basis and treat every situation differently. Please call a recruiter to go over your eligibility at 800-447-7433. One is happy to talk with you.
This video is out of date. I called today. They said they only taking people with 3 months experience. How they expect you to work for a company for 90 days then quit is pretty unreasonable. I figured they are tired of getting people into orientation then having them fail a hair follicle drug test. So it seems like since the hair follicle test goes back 90 days then they figure “well he’s been driving for 90 days he probably hasn’t smoked weed.” You would think it would make more sense to stop doing the follicle considering how many states have legalized it, and the cost of a hair follicle compared to a urinalysis. So if you just out of school this place isn’t for you.
Hi Frankie. This video was uploaded on April 20, 2018, and hiring requirements change to reflect operational needs. However, some locations have positions open for new drivers. The updated experienced requirements have nothing to do with our background check. Our core value of Safety First directs our background check practices.
Accessorial? Is that what you said? It sounds like legal jargon from the same school of thought that decided "human resources" is a better term for "personnel." Because fancy talk makes everything seem all better.
Accessorial pay is a common truck driver pay term. All it means is that it's added pay to your CPM for performaning additional work duties like loading, unloading, etc.

I understand your concerns about doublespeak, but this is more of a an umbrella term that covers several paid tasks not directly related to driving.
2 more weeks
Awesome! We're excited for you, April.
Drivers should be sleeping in motels not the truck
Are y'all pet friendly
