G'day, my dude! Your friend Tom chose a real winner in a plane - I'm the _other guy_ that owns one! Finished the maiden yesterday, iNav and FPV, and for S's and Giggles thought I'd poke around the Tube to see other builds. Late to the party, but great maiden and final landing! (Bro, he brought that battery to it's knees after the first landing, on your request - what a guy!). Thanks for posting this!
Thanks man. Unfortunately, about 2 flights after this one, I took off, and made 1 click of trim to the right. The servo went full and locked causing it to roll and vertical land into the ground. A plastic bag was required to pick up the pieces. I originally had the HK Skipper and loved it, but couldn`t get it, thus I got this one. oh well. HK Skipper is back in stock, so I`ll probably go buy one again, iNav and DJI it. So, lesson learnt, change the servos to something reliable, not the cheap ones that are in there. enjoy.
@@OZSCQUADS Oh man, vertical landings are never good - I also started with a Skipper, it had a KK2 board in it, to tell you how long ago that was! Mine also went all "Lawn Dart" on me, after a failsafe. Because I was over water, the Skipper went Red October rather than ka-boom, so I've stuck it to a wall for static display lol. Side note 2.0 - I have a stupid little plane, called a Mini Surfer, that has survived 2 nose-ins. The first was a result of a bad ESC. The second was the result of a bad diagnosis, as it still had a bad ESC. Duh. But thankfully, I laminated the plane with the thinnest stuff I could find, and both vertical landings resulted in zero damage - even after finding the only cement sidewalk in a grassy field to crash into. The stuff is magic, and will hopefully save the Dragonfly if it decides to have a Bad Servo Day? Cheers
