    Thank you, found your conversation’s very informative as a Female passenger.

    Gary gave me some great advice about turns/leaning when I first jumped on the back of the bike. He told me to turn my helmet the same way his helmet was turning and that way, I'd be leaning the right way. It made sense then and still makes sense now. Also, I love the sights/sounds/smells being on the back of the bike, such a completely different experience than being in the car.

      HeLLo to my backseat sister! Thank you for your feedback! It's better for everyone to have helpful advice/suggestions from our riders so that they are more comfortable riding with us as passengers. Most of the time, it is a bad riding experience is what will stop a lady from riding as a passenger. It is a conscientious rider that can help her back into the saddle again.

    When the passengers mounts it is very helpful for them to keep their weight over the center of the bike. I noticed she did that automatically and that you were not struggling to keep the bike centered.

    Such a huge responsibility being a rider with a passenger. It does take away from the ride a bit for me when my wife rides since I'm being so cautious, but it's also nice to have her experience it with me and show her why I love it so much. The biggest part for the rider is making the ride as safe and comfortable for the passenger as possible, no sudden movements or sudden braking. On a side note, I just booked the Lighthouse Run on the Oregon Coast, Coos Bay. Ya'll going, or ever done that one yet? Looks like it's gonna be amazing.

      You're right Dave. It is obvious that you also take your wife's safety as a passenger seriously. We have not done the run in Coos Bay, but WE HAVE been talking about riding to Oregon to see the lighthouses. EnJoY your adventure!

      @@Hillon2Wheels put the Lighthouse Run on your bucket list, friend if mine in a Harley club from Redding said it's a great one.
      Cheerz and thanks for the passenger video!

    Thank you so much for helping me find a way to get on the bike as a passenger. My husband is experiencied and trusting him is half the battle. We are working to get a tour pack custom mounted to make me feel more comfortable so I can enjoy myself more.

    Thanks for the advice in 2up riding. I myself have been riding for 15 plus years . I haven’t ridden for 6 years but now getting back into ridding. I’m going to take about month of solo riding to get back into the swing of riding just to get myself coffin riding again. My wife has no experience in riding as a passenger so I’m showing her some RUclips videos of riding as a passenger.

    I love it!!! I love to just ride the ride and see the sights! Lots of people want me to learn to ride my own, no way!! That’s too much! But it’s the best time! I’ve rode wearing shorts and a tank but I always wear my boots. I only did that with a very experience driver. The man I ride with now, I will only wear durable jeans. I also will watch the other vehicles on the road, never hurts to have an extra set of eyes. I am looking for a video to show if the bike does go down, what’s the best thing for the passenger to do? Ride safe! God bless!

    Great video. I have such anxiety about riding. It's a lack of control thing. Lol. I figure the more I learn, the better I will feel about it

      This is how I feel right now, as a beginner passenger. I come from a horse riding background, so the lack of visibility and control has been a hard one for me.

    This was brilliant thank you…..as a porky 55 year old with short legs I am finding it difficult to get on and off my husbands vintage Honda VFR. No idea what I will do if he fits any luggage components.

    You two make the best videos . As for dressing for the ride need to pack for all weather it might be warm in the valley but if you are riding to Tahoe it could be really cold . . All im saying is look at a forecast for where you are going. Love the videos keep em coming you two Rock.

      Thanks James. And you're right, about bringing clothes for all weather conditions. We also recommend doing this because all too often we'll be on the road enjoying ourselves long after the sun sets and it gets to be a chilly ride home.

    Great topic! I live near Chico and we have lots of open roads & highways to ride. A topic close to my heart (because it scares me) is riding freeway of big cities... hint hint...lol

    • @Hillon2Wheels
      @Hillon2Wheels  5 лет назад

      Hey Larry thank you for the idea. We unfortunately could probably do a video on big city freeway riding for here in Ca. It is not something we enjoy doing but is sometimes necessary to get where we need to go. We will try to do a video soon that explains how we do it anyway and I am sure there will be a lot of others that live in the bay area that can ad their thoughts also

    I'm about the same body type as you, almost identical and I was really worried about being a passenger on my husband's motorcycle but this video has definitely helped me feel more comfortable thank you. I know you made it 2 years ago, but I figured I'd comment and let you know ❤

      This is awesome! It really helps boost your reassurance when the rider is not doing risky stuff when you're on the back of the bike with them. Thank you for watching and reaching out. And congratulations for overcoming that hurdle. ~T

    Another great video. Lots of good advice. I got a little confused about the term "Reach around". Your definition is a lot different than what I've heard it used for. Good advise about drinking and riding. We're all guilty of a too much fun and riding a little buzzed at least once. Well...... I can't speak for every one but I'm guilty of it and I gotta tell ya', my bike runs much better on alcohol. One thing that I would have mentioned is bring extra cloths. You can always take it off if it gets too hot but when it gets cold you can't put it on if you don't have it. Good call about wearing boots and long pants, (Ride for the slide). I like to wear shorts on a hot day, but NOT when I'm riding. I've never rode in shorts before, but I think riding a motorcycle in shorts would be like getting a blow job from another man, it might feel good but when you look down you know it's just wrong! Love the videos! keep em coming!

    • @Hillon2Wheels
      @Hillon2Wheels  5 лет назад

      Great suggestion about the extra clothes, there is nothing worse than freezing all day when the weather does not cooperate. As far as that reach around goes it just makes 2 up riding more fun lol.

    Well my boyfriend wanted to take me with him today, he has a BMW 1200 R a tour pack and backbox which is a back rest and its high I'm 5.5 and I couldn't get my leg over I'm so dissapointed. I will try again for sure but if there are any tips ???

    • @Hillon2Wheels
      @Hillon2Wheels  3 года назад

      Thank you for watching! I personally have never tried to get on the back of a BMW 1200, but I would try putting my hand on the rider's shoulder for leverage. Then step up onto the foot peg, then bring my foot through behind him and through the seat to the other side. It looks like a much higher step up than our Indian or Harley. Good luck!!
