Was trying to decide where to hike on Saturday. After seeing this video, I need to make sure it is somewhere with a cell signal! Looking forward to nabbing some of those ancients,
Haha - that is funny! Some of the silver and Carthaginian are headed to NGC, but a lot of interesting quality types will be sold during the stream. One of the trays will be auctioned without IDs - just the tickets - as a heads up as well.
"Wow, what an epic unboxing! Seeing such a mix of ancient, medieval, and world coins all in one place is a treat for any collector. The variety is impressive-from Italian medieval silver and Parthian drachms to 1800s crown-size coins, and the British mix adds even more depth. The history behind each piece is mind-blowing. Quick question: out of all these incredible finds, which coin would you say has the most interesting backstory or is your personal favorite? Can't wait to see what you'll bring to Whatnot Con!"
That is a great question! I had never dealt with Antonio Veneiro's Grosso coins before, but had extensive experiences with the different anonymous follis classes, so diving into those was really interesting (and thinking through Christ's appearance on coins, as well as the history behind the Republic of Venice).
Nice!! Heading to bed - but - there will be ~6 of the crowns at the end of the video, and ~20 of the ones I quickly panned to. Gotta get those in TT flips!
Have sold ~50,000+ of them, and have a decent sense for it. But I'm not perfect.. I know of 6 fakes I sold (4 of which I reached out to the buyers and refunded before they contacted me - it was the same type of coin). The other one was my first ever denarius, and the last was a fake French Indochina Piastre.
3:49 "...before Christ existed". Not exactly. The new testament clearly teaches that Jesus is God, the creator and was there at creation. John 1, Colossians, Rev...lamb slain before the foundation of the earth, etc.. See also the plurals in Genesis 1.
@TreasureTownCoins lol. I figured it was kind of a slip of the tongue thing that we all do. Still, your knowledge about these coins is impressive. Tons of cool coins in this video! Thanks for sharing!

If I may ask a question, are all of these coins cleaned and if so how does that affect their value?
Alot were yes. And it does affect the value
Many were - it will decrease the value. The crowns in the black plastic were likely hurt the most.
A treasure town video, just what I needed! will the crown sized silver coins be auctioned on Saturday?

How do you know what you are getting is authentic ?

We miss the old Treasure Town ...
Oh no!!
Wish I had more time to make videos :)
How would you suggest I improve?

Great point! I agree!! Should have said when He was on this earth in human form :)
