So nice seeing fresh, original, nice coins like those Bust Half Dollars in the raw for a change! It’s so cool to hold one in hand instead of staring through plastic at it entombed in a friggin’ slab. I came up collecting BEFORE the slabs came along and remember those days fondly.
@@steve7201 I think your misinformed bud. Have you every talked to the people he buys from. Have you ever sold to him. If he lowballs elderly people why and how is he able to buy so many collections
@numismaticstacker yes he is, if that poster thinks he can do a better job, get a channel and do the same, see what he pays for a collection after driving all nite and staying in a hotel, pay for meals and gas and time,
So glad you pointing out the natural orangish toning on that pre-33 gold pieces. I personally love the look of the toned gold pieces and super lucky enough to score a bunch of them
ive been collecting 50+ years. my grandmother got me started with a box of liberty walking half dollars when i was 10. i have nearly 100 sets of franklin half dollars and ike dollars along with the usual lincoln cents, buffalo nickles, mercury dimes, roosevelts, liberty quarters, washington quarters, walking liberty halfs, barber halfs, morgan and peace dollars and misc. coins. the better coins are being sent in for grading so my kids know what i have. along with my notes.
I find it surprising how many of the high grade, important coins were not in flips or protected in some way. The two notes, both bearing the signature combination of Speelman-White are the most common of their variety (Fr. 36 & Fr. 37). Great video of a long-time collection!
In the intro you claim to be surrounded by all that water last week, but yet I see no watermark on your garage or anything else that I'm able to visualize 😮😮
Keeping coins in screw caps tubes keeps em dry in floods. Never pitch your tent in a dry riverbed old army saying also sometimes the soldier and the wood tent pegs are expendable items
Always a Critic making waves that have No Reason to discuss this us about the collection not moving away from a flood plain... So with that done.... Hey Guys excellent video, I think You got a very Nice Collection and I'm kunda jealous lol You captured a beautiful collection there, that is what I want mine to be I'm actually still building Buffalo Nickels and Mercury dimes and just about anything else I can get My hands on.... In all I have 350 to 450 in collectible coins Lincolns, Buffalo Nickels, Kennedy half dollars, Ikes, and a bunch of sets but My all time favorite coins are Nickels any type but in MS condition if I'm gonna spend my money on something I try my best to get top shelf.... Great to see that collection gives me incentive to stride further in collecting!!!! Thanks Guys!!!!
What an Incredible opportunity you have to be offered a collection like this due to a collection like this is few and far between,,do you sell to individuals or do you just wholesale it out???also this collection has me thinking about mine that I was going to leave to my kids which I’m going to have a talk with them about if their just going to turn around and dump it like this or continue on with it for their kids ,,thanks for sharing this vid

Hello and thank you for showing this video, and can I say that the key here is that I’m glad you guys survived Hurricane Harvey. I wasn’t aware of the situation but I say again glad you guys are okay and your home is still standing.
So you live on a Flood Plain . That ain't Harvey's fault . That is your fault for buying a home on a floodplain . Always be very aware of where you choose to buy real estate . There is an incredible amount of real estate that is on ' Flood Plains ' that has been sold to unaware people over the last 50 years here in America . I'm sorry for your ' troubles ' ! I hope you recover from this tragedy soon . I really enjoy your videos .
Ya it Appears astho these dudes do Fairly well…MOVE AWAY FROM THE “BELOW SEA LEVEL” HOME YOUS GUYS GOTS! I live in CA and Our state SUX… H O W E V E R…Its NOT a “Oh it’s Flooding again” Scenario…
Nice buy. Kust came across your channel and enjoyed. Maybe one day my kids will be doing sort of the same thing with you or a like collector. Understand your feelings about flooded times last couple weeks - I'm in Montgomery/Conroe. Prayers for all those affected. Subscribing to catch more of your videos.
What a dynamic and 'alive' purchase! Labor intensive to be sure, but undoubtably greater rewards to reap, and as you mentioned the pleasure of handling so many unmolested coins, and the excitement of genuinely coming across surprises/poss. treasures not looked at in a long while. That creamy 3 gold, and those bust coins should get any collectors heart beating faster, nice. Wow!
I kind of enjoyed this video on the collection you purchased. It reminds me a little of myself and my collection of sixty some years. I would have an interest in one of the 1951 proof sets, unopened. My birth year.
Selling to wholesalers because "you dont have the clients for them" is a pretty ridiculous statement. Make rolls and put them on Ebay will be thousands more...makes no sense to me.
That does not look anywhere close to $17,000 face of silver coins. That would be more than a bag and a half of silver and you would not be able to pick it up that easily.
How does one possibly evaluate that much material within a reasonable amount of time in order to make a well-informed offer that works for both you and the seller? From the size of that old collection it seems like it would take WEEKS.
Freshly cleaned and dry hands are better than any gloves which might leave fabric particles on the coins or cause you to slip a coin out of your hands. Coin graders who handle the absolute finest and rarest coins in the world have been explaining for a little while now.
Love the unopened 1951-1953 proof sets.
Me too !! I’d love to buy 1 of each

How does this channel not have 1 million followers lol this is crazy. Best coin channel on any platform around.

He actually pays higher than 90% of dealers. Makes his money by moving lots of coins fast. Drew seems like a pretty honest dealer in my opinion

DANG that texas graded orange commem is amazing
We had close to 15ft at our apartment during Harvey. Luckily we were on third floor. Bottom 2 floors totaled though.
Any coins dated 1954, i'm interested in. I'll be at the TNA in June.
Great video and nice pickups. Thanks for sharing Drew.

I'd like to buy that Isabella quarter and the 3 dollar gold coin
But, but, but I want that Isabella. 😆
What are you doing with those leather back books on the side counters in the kitchen, cleaning and airing? A message from England........

Have a wheat penny with the Lincoln face blank. Any idea what it’s worth or where I can find out ?
If it’s face is blank then it is worn down an not worth much more than $0.50-$2.00
