    I have the same sled but a 19’. I am so glad you guys finally got the xrs. I know the on trail handling is better then you thought it would be, I know it blew me away with how hard I could push trails and absolutely shredding powder.. definitely don’t underestimate the BC-XRS..

      I jumped from a 17 renegade x 850 with a 1.6 track to a 19 bc xrs with the 1.6 as well. Absolutely love the sled and don’t know why they always complain about it’s on trail handling, it’s much softer in the Bumps due to the longer skid and for the speeds I ride(avg of 45 mph while trail riding) I can absolutely rail the thing on the trail. Picked up a brand new 2021 base backcountry 850 and going to see how it compares to my current one.

    Would like to see a review on the 154 with 2" vs 146. I think a lot of people are trying to make that decision. I opted for the 154.

    WRONG. All backcountry models used to be 16” wide. In 2018 when the g4 backcountry was released they moved all models back to 15 inches wide, other then the 2 INCH. In this video we have the 1.6 cobra x 15. However the 2 inch powder max is by 16.

    refreshing review! nailed it, after 3000k on my 2020 its absolutely the best sled ive ever ridden for my riding style. I would agree its off trail bias but 30/70 is a bit harsh, 40/60 maybe but considering you guys claim the assault to be 50/50 I would have to disagree and give it a 60/40 on trail bias IMO, in my books the BCXRS is a true 50/50 (need to live with a compromise somewhere) and this thing doesn't have the off trail compromise the assault does.

    Great Vid, AJ. That is a great sled no doubt. I have a ‘19 Renegade XRS 850 with the Ice Cobra. I love the performance of the track both on and off trail, but the track is not durable! Mine started falling apart around 3,000 miles. Now at 5,000+ miles, I’m missing more than 10 paddles. They just rip right off at the base of the paddle. Although I do some long rides, I’m pretty easy on my machine overall - still on my original drive belt. That track is probably geared towards a 75 mile/day off trail rider more than a 200 mile/day trail rider who likes to go in the woods once in a while.

    • @hayter111
      @hayter111 4 года назад

      I have found the same thing with the single ply tracks like the cobra. Good traction and light weight but not durable. I would take a 2 ply heavier track over a cobra for sure just because they last.

      There is a reason Ski Doo stopped offering the 1.6 on the XRS and it's because of the tapered tunnel design. That's why they switched to a 1.5 Ice Ripper this year instead. Sadly your track is junk and really should be replaced by Ski Doo under warranty.

    Why is 90% of snowtracks episodes advertising skidoo and Polaris a little biased I think. Skidoo has had enough government hand outs to never really need advertise. Polaris makes junk engines. Why dont you stop comparing and start telling people about reliability. Lord knows Polaris is far from reliable

      @nsa6790 4 года назад

      Allen R Is all about the type of riding you do. The 1.6 will be better if you ride anymore than 60% trail, while the 2 is better if you powder ride more than 60% of the time. Sure you can take a 2 to trail ride long rides but it won’t be as comfortable, break faster, and make your sled heat up as it’s further from the ground. Good luck in your search!
